Nice day out? New picture time!

Figured I'd test out the camera in my cell phone to see if I could figure out how it worked, since my nikon decided to quit on me today. Pictures turned out okay, I think, though the .jpg compression added artifacting :/

(Yes, I know about the rocker panels, and it will be fixed later this month- the body shop has been slammed with work and hasn't been able to get me in yet.)

I got them when Moss was having a clearance so they were relatively inexpensive, but be warned- they are not the greatest quality. Molding marks/flash from being made, the clear bits where the signal bulbs go are not sealed well and fog up, etc... On the other hand, they look badass. When I get around to it, I'll be sanding and repainting mine, but from 10 feet they look fine.

Edit: By the way, I'm jealous of your cloth seats and leather wheel- some moron swapped mine out for white leather (?!?) and I've got the crappy rubber wheel. Both are on my list of things to fix.

The signal bulbs are located in the outside part of the assembly- the small white/clear triangular bit outboard of the intake opening.

I was going to say, those seats you have look retarded, haha.

If you plan on keeping the car, fix the rust ASAP! Longer you wait, the more expensive it'll be.

As far as a steering wheel, grab a '93-'97 MX-6 leather wheel/airbag...plugs right into the Miata's harness and works fine, and the 3 spoke design is a nice improvement over the Miata's 4, aswell as the parts where your hands go are preforated leather and have those bulges for better grip. I love mine!

I know, they were the thing that threw me off when I first checked out the car. I was like, "A legit R-package car wouldn't have white leather seats, what the hell is this...?" Now that I think about it, though, were there any models that came with a white interior? None of the Ms that I can think of...

Pics of your steering wheel? I wanted to ditch mine for a nice wooden Nardi one, but since I work at a body shop and technically know better, I can't have a steering wheel without an airbag (mostly since I can't afford the $25,000+ fines if I get caught...)

                        5'10", 160.

There are ways to mod the seats to give yourself more room; I've already removed the extra foam in the seatback since I have long legs and it gave me a bit more space.

It's an illusion! Check the numbers from Mazda...actually I have my '94 Product & Comparison booklet right here.

                            The 323/Protege:
                            Headroom: 38.6"/38.4"
                            Legroom: 42.2"
                            Shoulderroom: 53.6"/53.4"

                            The Miata:
                            Headroom: 37.1"
                            Legroom: 42.7"
                            Shoulderroom: 50.4"

So it's got half inch more legroom but an inch less headroom. It's close enough! Fat people won't fit in Miatas, tall people can.
