thanks for the positive direction james.

When i build this beast, it will be fully to my specs, which equates for custom rods/pistons beyodn whats currently available. the turbo manifold will be custom built with as long of primaries as i can squeeze for space & the charger off to the passenger side of the engine bay. oil feed will be from the rear of the block just like the F2T source, coolant feed is yet to be 100% decided.

Hey Ryan, don't get me wrong, I just think that if you are going through all the trouble of making mounts and fitting that thing in the 323, might as well use a newer engine. But if you think the FE3 is the way to go, then do it... At least it's not something everyone does.

What concerns the MZR, it will definitely fit under the hood (It fits in the Mazda 5 which barely has a hood) and the Mazdaspeed LSD tranny should be able to hold that power anyways. I was actually thinking about this myself but I'll do my BP GTR engine first and then maybe will try the MZR.
Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

your deluding yourself to think that any g series transmission can handle power... you might be able to make it, but not safely & it WILL blow up eventually. the H tranny is the strongest tranny mazda made that i know of in FWD application.

Besides, im going to use a strange combination of misc mazda mounts & altering to the bracket designs for engine placement, its pretty close to a bolt in design.

similar placement like that yes smoke, just no honduh crap under there

the 3 uses a G series trans, and the speed 3 uses an A trans ( not confirmed yet but its supposed to be identical the the G excempt the needed mechanisms to make it a 6 speed

I'm not deluding myself, it all depends on how you drive and shift. If doubt I could beat on my G series GTX tranny but if pay attention to what I'm doing, it will hold the 300 WHP it will be seeing. The same goes for most trannies.Do you have pics of that H series tranny, I'm really curious to see what it looks like?

Ryan I must admit to being truly baffled as to why you would put all the time effort and money into continually upgrading the mechanicals in a body that is quite obviously past it`s use by date. Would it not make more sense to find a decent shell and build that up, It`s your car and you are entitled to do what you wish, but if it were me I would be patient in looking for a good base to begin with.
