Pic request: BP exhaust front pipe

Need an underside pic of the factory front pipe (cast exh manifold to cat converter). It has to be for the early style pipe, not the tubular manifold.

I'm installing a wideband in the stock exhaust when I install my engine (in about 6-8wks hopefully) So i want to see where I should weld in my o2 bung so it'll clear everything.

Wideband o2 has to been installed at 10 to 2 o'clock...so any pics would really help out guys

I put my wideband straight up in the exhaust right under the half shaft spot.

Mount the O2 sensor in the exhaust system at least 18 inches downstream from the exhaust port. If you anticipate high EGT's (over 800C), run a turbocharger, run at high RPM for extended periods of time or plan on running leaded race fuel then you must mount the sensor at least 36 inches or more downstream of the exhaust port as all of these can cause the sensor to overheat. On turbocharged engines the sensor must be installed after the turbo charger, if not, the pressure differential will greatly affect the accuracy of the unit. For accurate readings, the sensor must be mounted before catalytic converters and/or auxiliary air pumps. To prevent collection of liquids between the sensor housing and sensor element during the cold start phase, the installation angle should be inclined at least 10° from horizontal with the electrical connection upwards, see below.

This what you looking for? I'm not sure where you are going to be able too weld a bung in there for an o2 sensor, but heres the pic none the less.

haha thanks Ace, but ya i'm looking for installed pics I wanna see where I can install the wideband so it won't hit anything.

It'll be welded in closer than 36" just due to the fact that
                a) it'll be n/a for about 2 months
                b) front pipe will be removed & replaced with my 2.5" downpipe that already has a wideband bung

do you think on an OEM Protege system your wideband location would be on the front pipe still? its a bit hard to tell with Ace's photo since it JUST cuts off and your system is custom lol

Ace- is there anyway you can take pic of the front pipe/cat converter flange? i wanna see the room we have above it if possible

sure I can take a pic but I don't think you'll have room to fit a bung in there.
