6.93 second 1/4 mile street car!!!!

Just found this video on youtube. Fastest street car in the world is a 1967 Chevy Nova/ Chevy II with a twin turbo 565 ci Big Block Chevy (putting out an estimated 2300hp) , a lenco transmission, and huge street legal slicks. The car is the current Hot Rod Drag Week champion, and was driven 1200+ miles across country on pump gas, driven to high 6 to 7 flat second passes at 5 different drag strips in 5 different states along the way (on the same DOT legal tires that he drove the 1200 miles on), then driven home. Best pass at this time is 6.93@211 mph. And this was on DOT legal tires!!!

Ooooohhh, yeah. I've seen this and heard of this feller before. All the same, the fact that he drove it cross country doesn't necessarily make it a "street car", but it does make ol' Larry an "unbelievably hardcore badass" of the highest order. I reckon the same label applies to the car as well. Silly hotrodder, 2300hp is for freight trains.
Gawd I wonder what accelleration of that level is like...
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Well, he does drive it quite a bit from what I hear.

And yes, I wonder what it feels like to go that fast that quick as well.

Driving over 2000 miles does kinda make it a street car. How many of us on cp could fo the same trip np? Hell, how many of us could just make the trip.

Granted, this car is worth 200 grand, but thats not the issue at hand.

That video was all kinds of just.. puresex. I love my little four-banger, but something about that nasty growl just... does things to me.

Yah awright I'd drive it on the street too. But that don't mean it'd be my daily commuter. I suppose if I could afford to drop 200 large into my Nova, I woudn't give a tiny mouse turd if my commutermobile got 3 MPG.
              But I can't.
              So I would...

3 mpg. He leans it out and changes the settings to run 87 octane street gas and gets over 3 mpg on it. Still makes huge power, too.

lol i was too at first. I said 3+ mpg because I can't remember what he said it made. I just looked it up and it said 3 mpg when he is in the throttle all the time, and 9 mpg when he takes it easy.
