Just cant stay away from mazdas

    1980 mazda 626 sedan

this one especially is in great top notch condition.. and was taken care of its whole life. everything works!!!!! A/c - Heat allthe lighting, all the buttons..etc. It has a 2.0 sohc motor in it, that runs great, but its now time to decide what needs to go in it. But as of now, im updating hoses/belts etc, and fixing old stuff on the motor.

I would pimp that **** and give it that "hella flush" look...lol

I never realized that gen was RWD. so many possibilities with a motor swap... FE3 perhaps, mpv 3.0 v6.

Great find, its like a diamond in the rough. Clean 80' 626 FTW!

Dam! I see you picked it up. And I agree with above. FE3 swap and maybe add a miata 6 speed to the mix and a posi. i don't know it if fits, but it sure would be a beast!

And keep it clean. I'm sure finding parts for that is gonna be fun.

Parts aren't that bad so far, suspension stuff is plentyful, and motor parts are even more plentyful. From the b trucks, and a lot of other mazdas shared this motor.

But its looking like its gonna be f2t, or fe3, had a long discussion with a old school guru, and it has come down to those 2. So we will see!

My 30 year old radiator is clogged up..so that's the next fix.

the trans is similar if not the same as the 5speed sa (1st gen rx7) with a different bell housing. Not sure on the rear end, i cant remember now for soem reason.
