I pulled one from a Toyota sedan because the way it looked gave me a couple of mounting options as well as being easily removed from the donor car.

    generic internet picture.

Ill probably run the switch on the vertical frame of the glove box and solder the led leads to the bulb terminals.

The cast dump pipe I ordered for my baby potato actually fits the exhaust side 5 bolt flange so I won't have to slot it.

Now debating going with OEM like fittings or ricetastic A/N.

Also trying to recall if I sold my tapped oil pan or not. I really should of done a 100% inventory of my storage unit before the Navy.

Replaced the rear sway links with moog stuff like the front.

Only thing I don't like about them is they don't have the length of the factory ones so tightening is a good deal of guess work.

        MUH PRELOAD

I also managed to replace the cat to rear exhaust gasket. It was the worst of the leak so that's why I focused my efforts on it. Car sounds far less ghetto. I don't like the felpro gasket I bought. It fit but I feel the piping hole was a bit too small, like 1-2mm but still enough for me to notice.

        Also noticed this

I guess the last time I put the flex pipe on I did a piss poor job and it rubbed/tried to fuse with the oil pan. I should look up the proper order for exhaust assembly one day. I don't think wedge breaker bar between the exhaust and oil pan is a step.

And I removed the stupid grounding bracket by the engine hoist point as I'd already moved the ground and it was doing nothing but rubbing on the fuel rail harness.
I ran a new 4gauge ground to it while I was at it. The bolt was off and I had wire, why the hell not. I was debating doing a trans bolt but those are a pain so nawwwwwww.

Used a 32 year old bottle of Turtle Wax trim restorer that I found at a relative's house on my bumpers/door trims last night, because why not? Worked great.

Also came home with four ratchet straps, a puller tool, and some other small odds and ends.

Indeed, it came with the car. I'm still mixed on it. It sounds great but the tip is at the minimum half an inch to large.

As for A/N I'm trying to keep the BG 90's era specific as best possible and A/N fittings weren't a fad then. I am a fan of them for custom builds as **** bending oil pipes.

yeah, the tip on that muffler is godawful dumb-looking. don't tell the ZX2 nerds that though, they get real angry. I'm going to just grind the welds on mine and pull the tip off.

AN lines make life so much easier though. push-lock stuff for oil returns is even better.

replaced the alternator, and got the car up and running. Found out more details about the big 3 upgrade thanks to Ryan. So looking into that, and also bought a couple moog end links to replace my worn out front bushings.

I prettymuch finished my downpipe, that lets me run 3" and lets me clear the AC compressor. Gonna wrap it and install it and then move on to the next hassle.

Are you willing to post pictures, or is it secret? I'd love to see some ideas for an AC friendly 3" downpipe.

Yeah well um I tried... Couldn't gdt upload from my phone to work, so tried emailkng to desktop... message sent:: failed. I gotta go get some headerwrap and when I do, I'll take a pic with a real camera. But in this case, the DP was the easy part, fabbed from one 3"mandrelbend U from Summit, the hard part was the manifold I had to make to get the ****ing turbo to clear everything. I should not have bought things like turbos post-wreck, man. I'da paid more attention to things like dimensions...

sold mine lol bye bye BG chassis, still keeping the GD and the E53 (for at least the winter), then I may look into something fancy and sell the E53 in the spring. I just need something for the winter, and the GD has a few religious spots that'd need attention prior...so whatever lol.

Working on the black mx3 right now and it's sitting beside the escort. I started looking at the front ends and how similar they are and I really think you could swap the mx3 front onto the escort or protege with minimal effort. Who's going to try it?
