Well today got the suspension, exhaust, and ebrake cable ALL swapped over, had to make the Egt a roller so it can go to the crusher on monday. apprently they dont have a flatdeck truck any more bah! theres nothing left worth much keeping on it to me. i stripped it of all the valuable pieces. gonna come to a grinding hault real soon for a week or so as i gotta have the funds to buy the gaskets and what not for the motor before it goes in the car. in the meantime ill put on the braided brake lines and bleed the brakes. finish up a few cosmetic items on it and then wait for moneys.

                        ^^^ THANKS

didnt do much today. all the rear plastics trimmed for the rear strut bar and installed, then finished up the final install of rear plastics. got the outside plastic side moldings that where not held on very well put back on, tomorrow is a Holiday for Canada so im gonna spend the day bleeding the brakes, and finalizing the lil interior items that need to be completed. sold the 1.9 engine so now ill have the funds to buy the gaskets i need.

no pictures today (really no point) lol

but got a BUNCH of stuff done on the car had to tear apart the dash and fix the tach cause when you turned on the key it hit 4 grand opps didnt put the needle on right. o well its fixed now. also noticed i have ZERO dash warning lights not sure why i looked and made sure everything was plugged in (im using the stock lx dash harness and gauge cluster so nothing was swapped. maybe there is a reason why the warning lights dont work with out the engine installed but i highly doubt that. also the airbag computer was chiming so i removed that for the time being

im thinking something is wrong with my column not sure what the hell it is but you can move the wheel in towards the front of the car about 1/2 a inch and back. wasnt like that before when i drove it so im thinking i broke something, the colum was just flopping around after i stripped the interior so im sure i broke something. im not sure what the hell could be wrong im gonna check and see if there is a Upper clamp around the ignition that clamps it down and doesnt allow it to move like it is. its not moving @ the bottom of the column where it attaches to the pedal assembly frame, and not at the column where the 4 bolts hold it to the dash frame but at the top around the steering wheel. if no clamp or way to keep it solid ill have to go to the wreckers and pull a column out of like year as mine. and just replace the whole thing. ****ty i know something alsways seems to go wrong somewhere also it wont click the column lock when key its removed so maybe that has something to do with it

switched out the door speakers, ran the wiring and installed actuators for the keyless entry, wired in the white gauge faced lighting to the dimmer switch, made me a tray for the dash for under the cd deck ill get pics of that later.

then me and the wife bled the brakes even without vacuum assist you can feel how much firmer the brakes are with the braided lines WAHOOO!!!!

well today i did a few of the lil things that needed to be done finally got the power steering cooler and tank mounted in the correct places, extended the wiring harness for the windshield washer fluid tank and the coolant over flow sensor since on the LX they are in a completely different area. tore the headlights and buckets apart and changed buckets as the new ones had broken top clips in them. and cleaned the engine getting ready to start tearing the oil gaskets out and replacing them. brought the timing covers and vc home to run thru the dishwasher. for now i think im gonna just paint the VC i was gonna powder coat it but i dont have the extra funds and the local place wants just over a bill for it to be done. and a pic of the bottom tray of the dash that i didnt take a pic of on my last update

well today i gave the whole car GOOD bath to get all my dirty greasy paw prints off it. cleaned up the Vc as i decided ill just spend the money and get it powder coated, so now all the raised areas will be silver and the rest well ill wait till its completed to reveal the color choice.

Ordered in all the gaskets, hoses, ect ect that i need for putting the engine back in. they should be here tomorrow. then start tearing the engine apart to change gaskets and then drop the motor back into the car and get this project finished for now
