idle surge could be a few things, as long as you set the timing/idle in diagnostics mode you should be able to rule those out.

I worked on Her alittle today .. ran some wires to finish off the clutch safety switch ..

Did some testing to see why my charge light stays on when I run her . Well looks like the Alternator I bought off a Fellow CP member awhile back is a DUD !!!

When running at idle its pushing out 15.17 volts to the battery and amp readind is close to 50amps .
Then when I put a load to it @ idle ( Defroster, High beams etc ) The amp meter reads over 75 amps ... And the alternator is a stock 65 amp unit .

So I still have my original one , but it looks like ASS.. will need to clean it up .

Then I worked on getting the new bumper fitted correctly .. looks good I will post a Pic later when its out in the sun tomorrow.

Last thing I did was finish the wheels ... center caps on .. and did a Red pin stripe on the bead of the rim to finish her off..

yes, i agree, the rotors look nice. are they the kvr's from corksport? and i dig the redline around the lip. it looks great! :D

@89bg323.... The rotors and pads are from EBC ... Green Stuff pads, slotted and dimpled rotors.

I think that's the issue with my alternator aswell. the battery light stays on the whole time.

Ok pictures of the new bumper installed, as promised .. just for you mazdapowered :0)

It will be a few months till I get around to painting it , but its all bolted up . Got it from CorkSport awhiles back .

The recently polished and waxed ( under side ) hood will be going on it tomorrow.

Hoping for some better weather to wash it and do a polish & wax to the outside.

What about their lighting ability? I'm using DEPO, but these are TYC, yes?

I have the lower hatch wing for the car , but am needing to clean it up and figure out how I will mount it .

But I will leave it till the coming fall winter as a project .

I want to drive it this summer .
