In the same boat, Sold $650.00 worth of parts off my $500.00 MX-3, and that was before I knew the floor mats and other piddly crap I threw out had "value" LOL. I kept the wheels and ended up wrecking the dash (stacked too much crap on it). I still have every mechanical and electrical part and everything to do the swap.

                    Mr. Gasket Thermostatic Sensor Kit!

Use this one a lot at work. It rules! Little probe pushes through the fins of the rad. It is the size of a dime with two spade terminals on it. Works mint, have had one in the Mustang for 15?-ish years.

                      ^^yep. Its on my list

After reading some of the book(pic below) I'm overwhelmed. This is probably going to be more like a few month swap instead of a 1 week swap. I'll be buying new hoses/lines/ect for it. No skimping. So plans are going to include buying a DD for the winters and during this swap.

Also check out this manifold I found doing a random google image search(can't remember what I was searching). I know someone made it up just wondering if anyone else saw it or knows who's it is.

its not a bad swap man! there's just a lot of vac lines, its best to just tape some vac diagrams up and buy some new vac line and run the lines 1 at a time.

also that just looks like a curved neck mani, bead blasted with a Mazdaspeed decal on it lol

All the holes/lines is what's overwhelming. Lol.

Oh and I need to add awr motor mounts to my list Only frowning because of cost. The rear mounts nut that holds it to the cross member is stripped. Anyone know if the protege and mx3 v6 use the same mounts?

That is a great book. When it said it covered so many MaZda's I was not sure about it, but it has tons of good info in it.
