maybe I should've bolded the torch lol. Well the candian version pretty much fell on my lap. A bud bought it to drive but had trouble with the title so he decided to just fix his bpt mx3. Plus I think he knew this had a bad headgasket or something. That doesn't bother me though as that won't be the motor I'm using.

I bought my MX-3 for $500.00 (I got the GS wheels, but no tires, so I drove it home on my sexy wheels & tires). I drove it 2 hours home, everything worked including the A/C and the parking brake!! It had 340000KM and burned a few quarts of oil on the way home. Best parts car ever though, I sold $650 worth of parts off it and I have everything I need for my 323 V6 swap. I kept the GS 5 spoke wheels, the 94 non-airbag dash and the front seats too. I might use the dash in my Mustang
Dominic Toretto rocks a MaZda and his cell phone number starts in "(323)"
Rear-
Full mx3 brakes/suspension- going to run the protege suspension and brakes
Super-pro bushings or energy suspension- protege suspension will be used so this won't happen because I have ES bushings already
Drilled rotors-protege
Ss lines
Front-
Mx3 subframe- running protege 1
drilled rotors-protege.
Ss lines
Mx3 steering rack(might keep the rack full power. Drove the car and liked the responce)
Driveline-
Klde
Mx3 trans
Mx3 axles- only running the mx3 pass side and half shaft. 94-97 bp powered kia sephia dr side axle is about 90% confermed to work and not bind(I'll keep you all posted)
Mx3 crossmember
Mx3 engine harness and the harness to run the mx3 guage cluster and rad fan
Mx3 ecu and vaf-might run the klde ecu instead after hearing it runs rich using the mx3 ecu and vaf together on a de
Mx3 mounts filled with window weld
Civic aluminum rad- this might change and use a probe 1 instead, we'll see
Mx3 guage cluster
Upgrades in the future.....or sooner if I can get all the parts gefore the swap:
HEI mod- already have a msd blaster 3 so the other parts will be dirt cheap so this might be done asap(disty in the k8 works so this isn't a priority)
Millenium or klze curved neck intake manifold
Phetos spacers- only if millenium intake is grabbed
Headers- can be bought dirt cheap so this wil most likely be done before the swap
Manual adjusting timing belt tensioner mod

I can build you an HEI harness, I made/installed one on the 626.
Sounds like a solid list though dude!
As for the phenolic spacers, they leak like a bitch man lol, its almost not worth it.
Thanks . I'm sure the harness isn't that hard to make but thanks. I have been reading probetalk and haven't heard about leaking problems. Weird

Well spent about 3 hrs on the mx3 sat. Pulled the engine harness, ecu, vaf and some other random parts. Man that harnes took about a hr to pull.
Also pulled the vc and intake manifold off just in case I get a probe motor and it comes with a straight neck. When you pull off a vc and look isn't it suppose to be a golden or brown color? Wtf is this red discoloration from? Never saw that in my life. Also, is there something work with that cam gear? Looks split in half. The other side is the same way with the 1 gear split. I'm guessing its normal but if its not please let me know. I won't run this motor I just don't want to be worried if I see it on the kl I get lol

if i were you i would re-wrap that harness (electrical tap) and remove all the connectors that you wont be using
makes it look so much clenaer!!
Thought about that as well. I was dumb and didn't mark any connectors but I can track them down still. Have a list of the connectors I won't need? A/c=gone, I will be using cruise control. Still desiding on ps or not. Also I wanted to wire in a thermo switch to run my rad fan so I'll make that look like a harness. I really wanted to run the mx3 gauge cluster but idk if I will now because I'm so limited on time. We'll see

I don't think a probe rad will fit. It is very similar in size to the MX-3 V6 rad. I spent almost a week of my life here looking for a rad: http://www.spectrapremium.com/spectra.html
(they list all the measurements of stock rads)
I could not find one I could live with. (nothing common really has the inlet and outlet in the right place). If you don't care about the hose locations a Neon rad will work. I have desided to go with this one. (P/N 2-26185x Griffin rad). http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GRI-2-26185-X/
It has the inlet and outlet in the right place and is the same size (exactly) as a 323 A/C condensor so it will fit where the A/C condensor would be and give the KL lots of room.
You have any hoses picked out yet? If so what 1s work?
