      Well I found a welding company locally that specializes in welding cast iron and are only going to charge me $38 to weld the wastegate tube to the manifold much happier with that price vs my friends buddy who is a welder who wanted $75-$90 to do it... Manifold is going to my friends shop saturday to be bored out for the tube which is going to cost me another $30. Besides buttoning up the turbo and finishing the exhaust fab and intercooler plumbing, this should be done well before the end of this month. I can't wait as I've been without boost for far too long.. Only headache left is to retweak my EBC to make up for all these changes and the profec b-spec II can be a real bitch to get right.

          This was the reason i asked why not into the downpipe. He used this setup no problems.

            Does that setup come off of the down pipe and go back into the down pipe?.?.?

              No on the T3/T4 the wastegate on the hot side is divorced from the exhaust. The hot side looks like this

              And the flange is a Generation2 T3 Turbo Discharge Flange with the wastegate port.

                The general rule of thumb is a minimal distance of 18" before plumbing it back in to the exhaust. In short the further away the wastegate dumps back in to the exhaust from the turbo the better the response will be and even better when it's completely separated from the exhaust all together. It's going to be loud and stink but I really don't care. No emissions, no inspection = no need to do it.

                  Please take pictures. im considering sending you my manifold to have it done again. that price is FAR cheaper then what i originally paid.

                    Will do that when I get it done. Had a little detour today to have an emergency visit to the eye doctor so that I could get to play pirate for a few days.. Son gave me a corneal abrasion on my right eye by accident last night with one of his finger nails, OUCH!! **** hurts like a bitch......

                        If all goes as it should, then friday I should have the manifold down at the shop getting done and with any luck welded the same day.. but that all depends on if I can squeeze it in to be bored out early morning giving me time to go bug the welders.

                                Yep, except for the fact that the compressor inlet is so damn close to the trans mount and even though its the gtx mount with the indent in it, that doesn't even help.
