Holy carp. Fe3+gt4 fits in the enginebay? Now I *know* that the gtr is wider than a bg protege....
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

we will make it fit jay....

my driving position is however a little tricky when going to floor mount pedal box, soul is working on tipping the FE3 back a little in the bay, and this will leave no room for masters in the engine bay.... so pedals come in the cabin, means seat goes way back almost hard up on the cage bars, and as low as physically possible....... its mocked up in the hole at the moment

fabricator comes back from queensland next month, so expect big progress in the way of rear diff and floorpan modifications and exhuast routing through the cabin and out the passengers door......

bought new LCA's for the front from jim

How much longer is that fe3 block than a bpt anyhow?

Tubular front-end and rotating the engine forward something like 45 degrees is the answer to the FE3 + GT4 delima: http://www.amazd.co.nz/forum/viewtop...8340&start=630

All well and good if you are building a drag car

How the hell can you rotate the engine that far without having the tailshaft come into the passenger compartment...

(looks at pix) holy weight distribution, batman. I can only assume it's a fwd car. Or the adapter plate is very, very different from ours.

I thought you were still using the BP engine Jay? They're using an FE3 engine in that pic, Darrel already maxed out the BPs potential with the GT4 tranny.

I dunno if you can "max out" the BP's potential... There has been that one guy who made 800whp at like 9000rpm...

Amazing build Josh. I wish I had the time/money to build something like this...
