          Thanks

          Made a EGR plug today.

          Mounted up the headers.

          Short wrench saved the day

New rubbers mounted in the engine crossmember.

Engine on the hook and in the air......this time.

Engine went in pretty smooth, think I would leave the throttle body off if I were to do it again.

Found a drivers side axle and made it pretty. Does a MX-3 and a 323 have the same drivers side axle? (Not sure what car this one came out of)

          Axles installed.

I had put the lower rear bushings in backwards. Corrected that today.

Put the shifter in. This thing is in rough shape, took a few strategic sheet metal screws fixed it.

The shifter is in. Felt good to row some gears!

A few: I am tired and going to take random pictures-pictures.

          Rad sitting in place.

Everything is going well. Thinking I may need to get creative with one hard brake line. Thinkin' use a banjo bolt from the MX-3 master cyl, should fix it.

Thanks for the compliments. Hard to tell by the pic, But I welded a bolt in the old EGR fitting, then ground it flush creating a ghetto EGR plug

Stoked is an understatement, can't wait to fire it up!

Oh and mystery driver side axle must have been from the MX-3 V6, because it fit and it works. LOL. I have had (4) 323's and (1) MX-3 V6 so sometimes, what part is for what can be confusing. The passenger axle is unmistakable, the driver side one looks like a 323 axle so I was concerned it got thrown out in my garage move.

Made a new thottle cable bracket tonight.

Looks like my kustom rad is actually going to work. I was not sure, when the passenger outlet appeared to be pointed at the alternator. Now the the alternator is installed and I mocked up the fenders, bumper and grille, looks like a 90 degree fitting will save the day

Rad hose (needs to be cut to lenght)

                      Day saving fitting.

Another cooling system fix. (Coolant air bleed). I am going to drill and tap the filler neck for this guy. Not 100% it is needed. My research says a purge tank or air bleed will not be needed as the coolant fill on the engine is the highest point of the cooling system ?!?

The thottle body is very close to the master cyl (even with the brake fluid reservoir relocated). Still not 100% sure how to fix this. I have a few ideas though. Spectre has a plastic universal air intake pipes. I was thinking I could heat one up and "mold" it around the Master Cyl. I was also thinking I could put a 2 3/4" silcone coupler on the throttle body then fabricate the first "corner" out of fiberglass then silicone couple it to the VAF. Note: a shortened MX-3 V6 banjo bolt is bolted into the master in a very early mock up stage in the photos.

wow lol ya I can see why ppl go with the curve neck. That's a damn tight fit! I know some mx-3 guys have gotta away with the straight neck...might have to check mx-3.com for more info.

Mine wouldn't even sit in the bay with the straight neck. Lol

Good to see your motor in! Ready to see it fire up. I want to see what you do with that valve on the coolant neck. After numerous times letting air out the system I think I still have air trapped in mine.

This one likely has a PVC intake beacause he heated up the PCV and molded it around.

This one has the rubber bellow sitting on the master.

I run the local cruise night so I just farted around for a 1/2 hour at the garage tonight.

I cut the rad hoses to size. I like them better without the chrome plastic end caps.

Early mock up stage for the rad, not using those headlights, they were just handy

                                Throttle cable bracket complete.

I was talking to a Raybestos Tech today and the MX-6 / Probe GT master will bolt onto the 323. The only differance is two brake lines are on the left side and one on the bottom, rather then the 323 one where one is on the right, one is on the top and one on the bottom. This should allow a unobstructed 90 degree intake coupler.
