Thanks guys, I will post some more pics once I get the details sorted out and clean it up. The daily came with that disappearing dent. In most lighting conditions it is not that noticeable, Saturday was a very bright and sunny day. The daily looks good in pictures, but it could really use some dent removal and a paint job. It is a very solid car, but it has been bumped around a bit (by previous owners). I am going to make a mini project out of it this summer. I want to put the bigger front brakes and rear discs on it and convert it to a 5spd (it's an autotragic 1.6L). I must also admit I usually post pics of it's "good" side too LOL The struts are shot and the brakes need doing. I have hatched a plan to put coil-overs on the V6 and put the V6's new Eibach/KYB's on the 4cyl. I have 97 Escort front brakes and an Escort GT rear brake set-up for it already. I have a 5spd 1.6L 5spd 323 stashed at my parents farm to harvest the transmisson swap from.

You can see the two rust spots on the car in this photo, a bubble on the quarter and a spot on the rear panel under the hatch.

If you look close one side of the front bumper is pushed in and there is license plate bolt gouges in its front bumper from a previous owner's fender bender. Still not bad for a 17 year old car. I bought it for $2000 Certified and E-tested almost two years ago and other then the new tires for the MX-3 wheels, I have not spent a dime on it. (Oil changes, gas and washer fluid).

FE3-323: The sunroof came on the car, think it is aftermarket, if so it looks professional installed. I took the roof liner out to inspect for rust and leaks and thankfully I didn't find any. In the photo it is just sitting on the car, I had the glass part out to paint the car and I am currently painting the inner sunroof trim piece. It will likely be more flush when the hinges and the latch are bolted down.

93BlkOnGreenPro: It took 4 cans, although I always over paint everything, it is hosed on. I am really happy with the Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric. I used their wax and grease remover too, which likely helped a lot. I have used similar products in the past they usually look like crap and react badly in spots, but this stuff went on like a dream and looks factory fresh. Hard to see in the pics but the vinyl on the door panels went all wrinkly and weird, but when I came in this morning they dried all flat and normal. I will snap a pic when I am putting them back on. I took advantage of the weird warm February day, figured I can wire the driving lights and stereo stuff any day. I have a heater for my garage, but it was a nice day to sort though my multiple bins of crap on the driveway to find the "best" interior parts. LOL

The headliner is out for good, I am replacing it with a tasteless amount of sticker bombing, I will snap you a pic. I painted all the metal inside of the car flat black too. The original headliner had seen better days. I love sunroofs (were in the minority). I have put sunroofs in a few of my cars. You can put a sun roof in anything, but the 323's roof was designed to take a sun roof, there is a big empty inner-support-structure-less spot for one. Would be an easy car to put a sunroof in.

precisely!!! if i don't put one in...... i'll probably go crazy. i much preferr the additional light input from having one.
Its also nice to have the airflow too.

I was going to cut the roof with power moonroof off of my MX-3 parts car, and weld it on the 323, but I was concerned about how old it was, and I was concerned I might not be able to get parts for it. (if it broke in the future). If I knew then, what I know now, I would have. (You can get every part for your near 20 year old Mazda next day). I came from a Ford world where they didn't even meet their legal obligation to carry replacement parts for ten years.

ya not so much anymore, ive been told that once mazda loses stock of something for these older mazdas. that their not getting more. so right now once somethings gone its gone for good.
