    yeah i'ma get back on topic and not ruin shawn's thread but i will say this i had 460's in mine and it still hit boost cut...but i didn't adjust the vaf.....anyway to unhook boost cut?.......back to topic shawn how do you like the exhaust set up you have i'm thinkin about goin with a magnaflow muffler

      Dude it sounds great. If i get the trubendz 3 inch i will get the magnaflow resonator again. Cant beat the sound and they are super cheap on ebay.

          as much as i spent on my crush bent 2.5 and fart cannon i could have bought a corksport system.I think i'm gonna go magnaflow this summer and lose the fart cannon.I hate that big ass thing

            guess what guys. i never had boost cut in my red car. i don't understand why so many people get it. do i know what it is yes i do. but not once did i have issues. i however did have right turn issues for the first it after boosting but that was a fuel pump issue.

              i'm going the trubendz route after summer too! but going with the 2.5" unit...but ya, magnaflow all the way baby!!!

                I thought yours was wired to a exact gtx harness. If so then it might be something in the regular harness that is causing this boost cut or lean out in the 3 to 5000 range at boost levels above 10psi.

                      It might be a fuel issue and we might have to upgrade to a safc. After i try my vaf swap i'll let you guys know. Oh and i have a Y code but it just hasn't been on the car yet.

                          Whats the y code vaf out of shawn?.......and I skipped over the part where you said your car has power windows that is awesome mine looked exactly like yours when I first bought it but it was rusted all to hell and dosen't have power windows i've never seen an escort with power windows

                              gtx bp26 ecu
                              gtx harness - repinned for no knock sensor
                              gt u-code vam
                              gtx motor
                              gtx turbo
                              gtx injectors

                              im going to guess my no knock sensor is the fixer. but you seem to already have that. unless derrick pulled a fast one and did something top secret i didn't see him do while i was installing my motor. see i did my motor swap down in vancouver just derrick came over and did the repin for me while mysta316, and jason (before he worked there) did my motor swap.

                              as for what i just read about an safc. there is no need for one if you running a gtx ecu, gtx injectors with a vj20. its if you change the injectors you will need an safc.
