yea its looking that way i drove it 400 miles like that this week and it runs the same just makes a odd fluttering noise (rod) ive heard it before so its not completely gone. Ok have a question what trans is in a manual 626 with the klde? i found one yesterday i was hoping for a lx pro but this came in instead lol

Coming next week (finally!!) all my suspension components come in. bad news is ill have to install them at home on jack stands intead of on a lift due to the rod knocking issue has gotten worse so i have decided to park here for now and get the b8 out of her. Me and the homies will be pulling the bp and trans on sat or sun its half off day so im hitting it hard

Well some bad news that turned to good news today. Went to the pick a part in sun valley for there 1/2 off sale. There wasent a SINGLE egt or lx in that junk yard and it was a huge yard. yet locally theres 2 lx and 2 egts i know of complete just more expensive. I drove home and was figuring on getting the engine and waiting till next week on the trans instead of getting them as a combo. I get text on my phone about a egt i offered a low price on ($500) and he agreed out of literally nowhere. Im going to see if its good tomarrow and ill purchase it on wedsday. wow amazing how thing go sometimes. If the egts worth fixing ill dd it for awhile and turn the dx into a monster. im thinking a possible FE3 swap. ive considered a FS-DE because there so many of them and they look good on paper plus i get them for $200 complete engine and trans. but then again there is a klde on a 5 speed from a 626 there also. This motor would be built of course never ran stock and boosted. im still kind of deciding where to go from here

IF you go klde and build it make sure you get the crank from a 98+ 626. Its 9 pounds lighter than a stock crank.

went to check out the egt i mentioned and it was in perfect shape mechanical wise ran real smooth and shifted really good. needs brakes badly though and tires. paints in bad shape too not to mention a dent on the ds fender. all in all awsome buy for $500. dude is a mechanic thing has no leaks and had a super clean engine bay and thats all i care about. not to mention 138,xxx on the od

picking up the egt tomarrow. starting new thread as soon as shes mine this one may run silent mostly for now. but theres a beast in the making as soon as i decide what i wanna do. may time attack the egt a little to see if the bp has what im looking for.
