yea beau noticed that left side lip hole is filled in, whereas the right side is a hole. not exactly sure why, but it was the same way on my lip as well

I'd appreciate it. Probably a lot easier to find than the mazdaspeed type A or B.

Out of all the Mazda bumpers I think the gtx three hole would look the best on an Escort when done properly. Looking forward to seeing pictures of this mounted.

I figured that it is probably just a style cue indicative of which side the intake is on. Definitely not for a tow hook, as there is nothing to mount to behind the bumper. Regardless of why it's there, I can't wait to Put it on.

Nice! I love this sedan, and it's about to get way better. I'd imagine the use of laser tx3 grille and lights, as well as rear bumper is part of this plan?! Wait did the laser come in a sedan? I cannot recall currently.

escort stuff isnt very compatible with the lasers. licence plates are on the boot instead of the bumper, and the grill is more narrow because of a hump in the front bumper. plus the headlights are plasic garbage .

Bo came through again and got me some fancy bits to force me to do some work to this hog!

Spent the better part of 6 hrs today taking the necessary modifications to mount a Laser Decklid garnish and wire up Laser sedan Taillights. Fresh off the boat and onto the car! All in all not to challenging of a task, I did learn how to solder though! The soldering was only necessary to extend the reverse lights to both taillights assemblies, instead of the center of the decklid garnish on the side of the License plate.

Lets start off with a little side by side!

And what I had to do modification wise to mount the garnish. Simple stuff really.

Had to drill a hole about half an inch higher than the factory hole for the USDM garnish.

And cut a layer of skin and punch a hole to send a mount screw through the internal skin of the trunk. (kind of blurry, but you get the jist of whats going on)

As far as the rewiring for the taillights, since I didnt ask for pigtails to be able to solder right into the. DOH. I had to depin the factory connecter and slide them one one by one. Only after I had sorted out which line went to where.

And a couple dark pics to show finished product, one for comparison also.
