The one on the left coming off the harness has 6 wires the one on the right that looks to be coming from the fuel rail has 8 wires, I know the vics solenoid is over on the left side of the intake manifold and has a white clip is this harness also related to that ? I know with the sohc harness you have to add 2 wires and I spent most all day researching on here and looking at the fsm but a few of these plugs have me stumped I know some of them are also only used on escorts and don't do anything on proteges just can't remember which......anyway here's the others
I have no idea where these go? I'm guessing their temp sensors of some kind?
On this harness I know that orange plug and the first ring terminal are for the alternator and I believe one of the grounds goes on the trans but there's one ground left and 2 iirc of those flat slip on terminal plugs I have no idea where they go.
Thanks for all the help Ryan and everyone else.

BP fuel harness has 2 additional wires (VICS/gauge cluster coolant temp(separate wire on the SOHC's)
you can either re pin/wire the current SOHC harness to match the BP(highly recommended) or just run an additional wire for the VICS(not a clean look)

Coolant fan switch yours is broken(buy another one off ebay or Rockauto)

The spade terminals are grounds. id reccomend replacing the spade with a ring terminal

Alternator plug/wire

Small ring terminal i believe is a ground (what is the wire color??)
the spade terminal & larger L shaped bracket both go to the starter---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

Awesome thanks! Yeah I went to the jy and cut pigtails for the fuel/Vic's plug and the alternator (just realized I forgot to get the pigtail for the ecu plug) should be able to get the wires run at least into the car today then I'll go back and get the ecu plug so I can pin them in

you don't need the ECU plugs. 2ndly if your going to the yard already. grab me the same type of pigtail which urs has the blue RTV crap on it already. i just need the electrical plug portion of it.---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

look @ my reply again. that spade is a ground. the single spade with a black/ orange stripe wire is for the temp guage. DO NOT MIX the 2 or you'll wonder why your cluster is whack.
but yes the plug on the left is all i need---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

^^^ right I got that I don't get what I do with this one tho
None of the lx wiring harnesses I've check for reference in the jy have this.
Everyone I've seen has this one
This one
And then the clip for the o2 sensor
So do I cut that orange/ blk wire and splice it into here?
If so which is which?
As you can see (hopefully) both of these are faded and appear to be brown and black......also I'm assuming as far as the wires that have to be extended back to the ecu goes it'd be these two?
The black/red and then the yellow/blue on the distributor?
Sorry for all the questions abd hopefully this makes sense? every thread I've looked up about this either has dead or no pics I plan on making a how to after I get this done

black w red stripe is the VICS & should be run all the way to the ECU
the injector harness orange w black stripe goes off to the temp sender for the guage cluster & should be connected to your existing wiring that ran outside of the injector harness. ( thus creating the 8 pin connector vs 6)
the first picture you need to cut that terminal off & put a ring terminal big enough to put a 10mm bolt through & then ground it.---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---
