2 things discovered... The EGT doesn't like the cold.

    1) Coolant light was on form initial start up. it was 20°F out when I started the car this morning. The light was on my entire 7 miles drive to work.
    2) The current blown struts... were frozen. The back end was bouncing around on every bump and dip you wouldn't notice unless driving a go-kart. it was bad enough that when I got to work, pushed on the back end to check.. the tires came off the ground on rebound......

Spent the Holiday Weekend with the lady out of town. Left early Monday morning for the 3 hour drive back expecting considerable amounts of snow and ice over the pass. In the process, I managed to bust a heater hose and lose my coolant supply. Used up quite a bit of water and extra coolant i carry with me just to get 100 miles to the nearest larger town. Did the $2.34 sent fix with the new hose in 12°F which took longer than expected. It's not 100% fixed, but is more than enough to get by for now. Will plan on replacing the entire hose when I work on the car hopefully this weekend. The way things are mounted, it looks like I need to take the freaking intake manifold off? This was all Monday.

Yesterday (tue) I noticed what look liked coolant leaking out of the front of the engine bay when leaving for work. Got home, in the dark, and laid some cardboard beneath the engine to track it for the morning. Checked it this morning and yep, coolant. Not a whole lot (considering my heater isn't working, so why turn it on) but it looks like everything is dripping right out of the front most plate on the A/C Compressor. The hoses can use replacing, but they were dry....

So, continue adding more to the list. I guess luckily, everything that continues to go wrong on the EGT, is all stuff I haven't yet replaced?

Alright!!! taking the car to a lift tomorrow morning over the weekend.

Priority is to get the struts swapped out. Not looking forward to this. Would be a lot nicer if i had complete struts (w/ springs & tops).. but i have only new struts.. oh well. do what i gotta do

Also hoping to replace the oil pan gasket, track down where my coolant is leaking from. Everything else on the list depends on weather (we're outside under a tent). Rotors, brake lines, parking brake cables, front axles, 4 corners wheel bearing, bushings, OIL PSI gauge, horn, fuel door release, shifter... and more..

Have I mentioned I can't work on the car where I'm at... freaking B.S.

And, I'm bringing the factory service manual with me to work, so I can sit down and research some of my problems (cruise not working, 12v outlet not working, heater not working)

              Accomplishments for today:

              Replace Front Axles
              Replace all 4 struts
              Replace Rear Swaybar endlinks
              Install Short Throw Shifter
              Fresh Trans Fluid

              Tomorrow The Plan is:
              Rotors
              Brake Pads
              Brake Lines
              Parking Brake Cable
              Engine Monitoring Goodies
              Fuel Filler Hose

Other things if we have time.

              Then this happened

Driving home afterwards the motor is incredibly hesitant below 2500rpm on the drive back... Kept wanting to almost die. Got home, and it's rough idling at like 500rpm... Usually it would idle at least 1700 if not over 2000.

Things I think could be causing this
              1) Battery was disconnected to reach speedo gear cable and put fresh fluid in trans (resetting ecu)
              2) I noticed the wire coming from spark to disty cap had room to be placed on more firmly, so i pushed it on, 1/3" maybe
              3) possibly the 'lovely' wiring that this car has currently, there is a bad ground? (yeah theres a couple frayed wires.. but they WERE fine before.. plan on fixing)

Oh LOOK!!! I finally haz pitcher!!!

                    The 'scort with no name.....

Use the frame rail in the front near the control arm and the boxed area near the pinch seam where the trailing arm bolts when you lift it next time, and use wood on both ends to keep it level and clear the side skirts.

                      Success!!!!

Installed both axles (driver side has the ABS gear on it... pretty sure I orderd non-abs.. rockauto.....)
Replaced front and rear swaybar bushings
Installed Stainless Steel brake lines, with new slotted rotors. Dropped in the Kevlar pads in front and rear. new parking brake cable, as well as mudflaps.

                      Also replaced some lightbulbs.

Need to adjust my brake and clutch pedal.. they have way too much play. Gonna read up on how to do that as well as figure out how to adjust the parking brake cable at the calipers

Was interesting stuff braking in the pads/rotors, but damn... my new brake combo is pretty good. I'm excited for a firmer pedal. Also noticed the MC likes to bounce around quite a bit on the firewall so I'll be fabbing some bracing for that soon as well.

Building the list for the new weekend I have time to work on the car. Not expecting this month though..

All in all, it's like a whole new car. Amazing. I am happy with it!!!! So close to completing Phase I (reliable daily driver)

It's dark and cold out, I'll try and score some pics tomorrow with daylight.. Nothing really to see still.. but w/e.. here's the front upgrades
