M&B Cylinder head is the shop where the stuff is at now. Toms Performance, closer to my place was the next best, but they're 3 weeks out. Dusty's, over my St. Johns sounded good. He's the guy that said he could turn around by the end of the week if I could get stuff to him Monday.

Welp, picked up the BP this afternoon. Was also my last day at work. The next 3 days are my best shot at getting the motor dropped in.. However.. I have no where to do it still, and no hoist either. That would be nice. Too damn busy with Oregon Trail Rally coming up with behind the scenes crap.. Oh, and I still have to pack in order to move immediately after the rally.

Oh well. here's pics. Anyone game for a engine swap party?

Excited, but also bummed.. I am not expecting to get it done in the next couple of weeks. Just no time at all. Very interested in even paying someone, just so i can have it running when I move. Might have a job standing by, which one would assume requires getting to that is not by bicycle...

Slight Update, but no progress. I've moved... HOPEFULLY start work next week.

All my free time has been tied up in the lovely employment search.

Upon closer inspection of checking which size crank nose I have, I noticed some about my cams.. I picked up the exhaust cam modded already with gear, and asked the shop to install that one specifically with the details. However, it looks like this wasn't done.

I could be totally wrong, but I believe i'm holding the cut exhaust came, that I want to install on the Intake side. Yes?

Not jack this one but regarding Ryan's comment to lube those cams...My buddy Charlie came up with this nifty engine oiler. We pumped almost 4qts into a fresh motor thru the oil pump port. Just a Harbor Freight pump and some ingenuity. 40psi into the motor goes fresh oil and no worries of dry start. Of course the motor was moly lubed as well. Lifter tick was gone almost instantly. here you go..and sorry for the thread jack. Move it if you may Ryan.

GRM has a spiffy write-up as well, regarding oil/break-in

did you physically tap into the oil pump to use that primer?? why not just plumb it in where the oil pressor sensor is?? that'd work also. i know they make prep'd cans that do such a thing....
either way its highly encouraged to lube up any part you can prior to starting it :D

There is an Allen head plug on the back of the pump.

eh.. its threaded tho??? for some reason i thought it was a press fit kind of like a coolant plug.
