If you can, get a picture. I might have missed it, but I thought it was a fairly large piece, no?

The resistor is only for the fuel pump to lower the voltage so it does not always run at 100% or so I read from the manual...the knock sensor controler lives on the back of that bracket.

Dood u should take pictures of all the connectors that have to be spliced and maybe photochop them with arrows on how to splice them properly, make that part of the how-to.

yeah the only thing on that knock module assembly you need is the knock module, you can disconnect the resistor and relay.

Can't they be put to use or would it be pointless to do so?

Can anyone PLEASE MAKE A HOW-TO FOR THE WIRING OF THE GTX MOTOR??? Would really help a lot of ppl I know who are trying to install their motors.

the gtx harnes is not realy hard to instal it.
no need to extend the harnes. u can route the harnes going from under throtle body over the heater core hoses and inside the car. then i can move the ruber boot couple inches toward the ecu and tape it.
the conectors that conect to body hanes i used from lx.what i did on lx harnes i puled all the conectors that go from body plugs to ecu.ecu plug opens and you can insert paper clip and relase the pins. then do same on gtx harnes .i would recomed doing this color by color. gtx uses more wires that go in those body plugs. not all off them are needed.
the fuel pump circut has to modified.its easy it has tobe wired same as lx so i think ther is only 3 wires to switch.
the second relay that is bolted to firewall next to knock module can be by passed(its there to control main pump and transfer pump) by wiring the realay nex to ecu as lx that relay becomes a fuel pump relay.
as knock control module i know that 88and up mazda 626gt,mx-6 gt and ford probe turbo use same stle knock control module.part number is difrent.
in mine opinin that will work but never tried one just an idea.i know plug is same and does same (transfers magnetic vave into pulses that are sent to ecu)
i just wrote what i had runing on mine car for over 2 years and never had problems .

Well, I already extended my harness, so, oh well. I *tried* to get the wires out of the plug by pushing them, and I couldn't get them. If I could have gotten that to work it would have been so much of a cleaner wiring job. I saw an MX-6 turbo this weekend at protegefest, and the knock controller does look very similar.
