It's just a straight swap - super easy.
      Project 'Mazda Missile' - 1990 323

      Stuff done: Not lots.
BP power and trans. B&G springs and Tokico S/R struts. EGT front/rear sway bars. DIY front/rear strut tower braces. MX3 GS rear tie bar. Pro GT(?) wheels. MX3 front & rear seats. Beige int panels now black! Low-buck MP3 H/U and door speakers. Infinity BassLink sub. Remote starter. Pro GT gauges, now with extra redness.

      Stuff wanted done: Lots.
EGT big front brake/rear disc brake conversion (awaiting install). Fog lights in grille (close to ready). Fogs as DRLs (researching).

Unfortunately, the LED's I bought off ebay are too dim for me. The gauges are viewable at night, but takes too much concentration for my liking for the ones I bought to be useful.

I'm not going to sell the extra ones I have, but if anyone wants a free set of kinda-dim red dash LED's, just to try them out (hey, maybe they'll be bright enough for you!), PM me and send me a dollar or two for shipping and I'll mail you my extra set.

I'm going to buy another set of brighter ones from a more reputable source

Not many smashed Protege's around here, especially with a tach, when I find one though, i'll be replacing it.

sure you dont have a ford gauge temp sensor in the front of the cyl head

In the BH there's only one HVAC bulb. But I've got the mechanical cable controls, not the electronic button type.

There should be only one. The escort controls use a larger 194 bulb in that spot and when I changed to the mx3 stuff, I modded the controls to use the larger bulb. I dont know if it made any difference in brightness, but at the time I thought it would.

Next up is to figure out how to change the color of the lights for the heat/air controls right above the deck.
Hi guys I know that the thread is a bit old but does anyone knows whats the type of the bulbs in the console switches for the rear heater window the A/C and the heater control panel?
