        And semi non bg related.
Ive been working on my buddies mx3 with a BP26 motor in it. He had it swapped by a shop and they did a ok job on the swap. But they didnt install a BP26 maf or injectors. It ran for a month on a B6 ecu, injectors, and maf.

Then I get a hold of the car it has no spark and is not getting fuel.
After a along time of trying every trick I have, I finally got fuel and spark and then it still wouldnt start. After changing to a rx7 vaf and LX ecu I got her to run, but barely. I let her run and sprayed the intake pipes with carb cleaner and found a major leak on some piping. I also changed the timing belt cause it was loose.

I fixed the piping and then she stared perfectly, then I noticed she was misfiring. Pulled the plugs they were ok, and then pulled the injectors and I found another problem, they were the B6 na injectors and fuel pressure regulator. Once we get her running better we will get some better picts and some video.

Here's a couple picts of her from today

I will have to go back there to rob the remainder of the good parts, and take the pic you asked for. It's as sad as the guy with the cartoons on his $40. LTS, really! It's a canadian GT also, I have the spoliage from her.
I'll do it it may be a week or two.

That avatar was so last month.

Take off your front plate bracket. I bet the 2 bolts will break right off like mine did. I was just going to get some wing bolts and carry the front plate/bracket in the trunk and if I got pulled over I'd just put it on the car with the cop there, but since they broke off I'm kinda screwed. I've never been pulled over for no front plate in the 323 or Miata so it doesn't matter.

You know, '89s had body color grills...if you look hard enough you might find a red one...I had found a red one a while back at a junkyard but decided not to get it...then I found the GT-X grill so that's what I have on the car now, painted black with trim paint to match the black plastic under the headlights.

                      Mmmm...323 wagon...my brother found one for sale, a '89 5 speed LX wagon, quite the rare 323, $600, 135K miles and needs a few things...if I didn't have my $750 77K mile maintained '88 I'd think about it.

Which brings me back on topic.
Today at work I powerwashed the 323's engine bay...well, with a short hose that's pretty strong anyway. Went through 3 full spray bottles of SuperClean and probably ruined the parking lot. Lots of oil/grit/crap all over. There was more on there to get off but it kinda started to drizzle so I called it a day...unlike the Protege it started fine and on 4 cylinders but after driving it the coil wire had water in it so it died a few times but once that dried out it was fine.
Clutch, axle seals, throw out bearing, etc, should be at the dealership Wednesday, and my brother said we could do the swap at his house, maybe this weekend. I can't freggin wait.

Going to get SilverStars for it tomarrow, from my brother, along with the MX-6 injectors I need for the Protege turbo project and a 2nd gen MX-6 steering wheel for the Miata. Might also make an intake for the 323 and try a hybrid K-code on it. LOL

                        Aw Kid,

you killing me, your so skrewed now, broken bolts,.....what's you gonna do when they come for you, bad boy!

                        You broke you nuts! lmao

Ok, the grill I have is black and fadded, the Mazda deal is glued to the grill, and one tab broken off. I entend to heat the emblem and to release it, and repaint the Grill with hammered black paint and the wheels also.

                        Your feed back please.

I cleaned the nasty sunvisors and replaced the ugly screws.

Transfered the title and replaced two front tires also. No more serious rock n roll at low speeds. The rest I post on the help section. Or do I have to go to another Club since I purchased a BF? lol

Get some trim paint...rough your grill up with a scotch pad, then wash, dry, and paint. That's how I did mine and it came out perfect. I even masked off the honeycomb on mine, you won't have to do that on the slat grill. As far as the emblem...I never really liked the white/chrome one...so on the GTX grill I dug through my box of Mazda emblems and got a 2nd gen MX-6 emblem...it has 2 pins but they are farther apart than the 323's, so I drilled another hole in the grill and inserted the emblem...well, 1 tab broke off...so I found the double stick tape, put it over the emblem, then using a razorblade I cut it out on the back of the emblem. Placed it firmly on the grill and it's not gonna come off.

As far as painting the wheels...take the chrome trim rings off and paint the wheels with black wheel paint...polish the chrome up and you might be able to find those smaller chrome center caps off of 2nd gen base Proteges, I think they'll fit...surely better than those plastic lug cap thingys. I think my dad still has those chrome trim rings in the basement somewhere...the steelies are long gone...that was one of the first mods my dad did to the car, LX 13" alloys.

BTW for more in depth BF info check out www.Mazda323Performance.com . They are like ClubProtege is for the BG but for the BF.

installed SS brake lines ... what a PITA to remove the old lines - one of them was stuck and I had to carefully use a dremel to remove it after stripping the little 10mm fitting - and ended up using vice grips instead.

The old brake lines were originals.
