Ok. I was just wondering because I know SOME of the RB25/26 NEO motors came with BB turbos as an option, but none of the RB20s ever came with it from the factory.

Changed my rear wheel bearings!!! YAY for new parts! talk about slop/notchy on the drivers side & a crapped out seal-race on the passenger side.
BTW it was raining out & about 36 talk about ****ty conditions for finishing the work. Anyhow 2x4's & tarps make an excellent shelter against the rain.

          PICS!!!

                    New set of Tires.. WOOT!

Of course buying 60k tires on a car with 200k + is kind of unnerving!

Smells like the last owners raised polecats in it! The interior is horrible!

Not a straight panel on the poor thing, nothing caved in, but the poor old thing is just dinged and pinged all over. Maybe it's Mazda cellulite?

Got my transmission to mate with the engine. Weirdest thing ever: had to use C clamps on two sides and tighten them at the same time to get it to snug. Yes, I'm using the right clutch

Took the tranny outta the car, for the 2nd time in 3 weeks.... clutches, even brand new ACT's, don't work so good if the engine is sending oil to the bellhousing. The 2nd time is easier, I got the thing outta there in two hours this time. And we found a tiny little groove in the crank bearing surface, where the rear mainseal rides. Oh joy. So we ordered up an EZ sleeve from Timken and when it arrives, I'll put the damn thing back together and hope that the clutch stops slipping. At least it cleaned up real nice.

Im pretty sure its ball bearing, cause it came out of the seris II rb20det.
And im changing out the ceramic exhaust wheel to one with steel fins.
Either way this is only a temporary turbo until I finish rebuilding my other motor.

And I started on the engine swap today! I probably will finish it by tomorrow cause it sucks to do a motor swap on a 4wd and im taking my time.

starter got all messed up on my beater yesterday... car kept cranking no matter what. smoke pouring out from under the hood by the time i was able to get the battery cable disconnected.

smacked it with a hammer, got it to disengage... pop started it and drove it home. slapped in a spare starter and all is well.

That sucks you had to pull that tranny again!

                                Hey quick question.
I got a almost brand new gtx clutch and a stage 3 6puck clutch with 50% left on it. What clutch should I use for the 4wd? I like the quick engagement from the stage 3, but the gtx clutch feels more reliable.
I dont want to break my GTX trans but I do want it to hold the power of the T3.
How strong is the GTX clutch?
Ive driven the 4wd with both styles of clutch, but I cant decide.
