What did you do to your BG today?? - Part II

no pictures this time. but in the last few days i have:

-wirewheeled my whole transmission, looks nice and shiny now :D

-put my pacesetter shifter in my shift linkage. also put in my nyloil bushings. sadly the linkage isnt in the car yet... also confirmed that nyloil bushings dont fit pacesetter shifters, you have to use the pacesetter bushings.

-machined down the stock TTL bushing inserts, to fit the ES bushings. cut down the bushings to the right length. now i'm just waiting for mcmaster carr to deliver the washers i need and i can assemble the rear suspension.

-assembled/installed my intake mani and alternator on the GTR motor

-installed my depowered steering rack

-cleaned the engine bay with windex and rags... i was gonna pressure wash it outside but this ended up being easier even though it took longer.

now all i need to get this thing on the road is some solid poly engine mounts and a downpipe.......................................... ...

missing the pics from yesterdays deadner removal, those are at home. I'll have to get them later. But today I removed the lower engine frame, clutch slave, most electrical connectors, shifter cables, and some stuff around the hub. it was fun.



Only a few more minutes of work and I can have the tranny out!

and quietly everyone says "put a bp in it!" :p

put on my rear tie bar. whacked my head on the rear subframe. left a nice mark on both.

I cleaned out the trunk and stripped it. now there is just a spare tire,jack,and some break down tools. all the plasic and carpeting is gone . Also detailed her. she needed it bad. I should've faced it the other way now that i look at the pics so the sun hits it right. Im no photographer, I'm learning as i go. lol.

Well after 4 months of sitting on jackstands... BP swap and new trans... IT moved out of the garage under its own power and went for a run down the street.. I am really diggin the BP Power with the AWD set up.. Then I gave her a bath, and tucked her back in the garage...

....quietly decided if I'm going to put a GTR trans in I might as well put at least a BP in.....

and I removed everything from the stock trans, going to remove it wednesday I think.
and removed most the sound deadner.

I spy some canadian seat belts in the front.... Nice job... Get ahold of Stu on the 323gtx.uk.co board and get some of his shifter bushings for the AWD... You wont be dissapointed.. Its looking good...

cause I can. cause I'm crazy. Cause I don't have money for a BPT, so I'm just stripping everything else instead. cause I'm crazy. Cause some day I'm going to straighten the dents out from bouncing over rocks and repaint it, and redo the interior to mint condition in a different color and make it a BPT Sallon GTX. (sallon is what brits call a 4door) cause I'm crazy.
