the girlfriend and I pulled the following from the junkyard(s)
mx3:
full escort ZX2 suspension
radiator core support
hood latch bracket
pile-o-bolts
driverside autobelt ass.
323:
shifter
rear hatch cover(w00t!)
random interior pieces
another pile-o-bolts
as you can see she made out better than i did for the MX3 but then again the mx3 needs more love. ill be putting everything on the mx3 tomorrow while shes at work and then the 323 is getting a new transmission put in and a new coil setup.

No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.
Is this the cardboard / felt bit that hooks to the hatch and lifts up when you lift the hatch? I think that was the only thing I actually missed when I ripped my interior out.

yea thats the one, this one is going to receive a full make over though
it will be soaked in fiberglass resin, re upholstered, and then have a slim line PC strapped to the underside for my Carputer project. :D
not to mention keeping prying eyes outta my hatch

Looks my usual luck has come through again with a replacement for the GT :o
My boss just called (and woke me up) to tell me that he'd just acquired another Escort wagon. The girl that owned it was driving in the big rainstorm the other day when she drove into what she thought was a puddle. Turns out, it was a culvert. Water all over the electronics, car quit running, got it towed to my shop. When my boss went to check it out today, he discovered the tranny fluid was like a strawberry shake- a frozen one, at that. Car won't move, even though it runs great now. When he told the customer, her mother told him they would be down to get their things out of the car, and he could have it since she knew we always have Escorts around as parts cars.
It's got just over 100k and the best part- NO RUST.
Hell yes.

I wish it was 4wd ... but so far I've had no issues and the snow is deep enough for the bottom to scrape on it. Woohoo snow tires. More pics from today on the way to work. That's a big street you see - the alleys are just covered
