That's lame. Your car was so nice. I love the 93GTs . Don't part it out if you don't want; I think psychologically I might want to just let insurance take it. But that's me.

you'd be amazed at how much force was actually applied. dosen't matter where it hit. The belts may not look it, but they have been stressed at the buckles and the loops. Would YOU REALLY want to tempt fate a second time?

Thanks for all the well wishings!

Went to the hospital today (as well as yesterday)...got a proper x-ray this time. Verdict was minor fractured rib.

Don't worry everyone...the car will be dealt with accordingly. As I said in my first post:
...funeral and proper burial to be announced at a later date...

Don't worry man...I'm not selling anything yet. I wouldn't put anyone in danger by selling things like busted seatbelts. Also, I can assure you all passanger seatbelts are fine as they were not used at the time. However, I know mine is questionable. Nothing more will be divulged until everything (insurance/charges) are taken care of.

...and again, thanks for everyones help and advice.

Hey man, if you are hurt, sew them for sure. I got hit about 8-9 months ago comming home from school, car in the opposite lane was taking aleft and did so directly into my car.. like the headlight area. The bitch had NO INSURANCE! I was broke with liability ins. I had to struggle for a while with no car and no money. I borrowed from everyone i knew and got another escort. I just got the settlement from my case and man does it feel good (i had to sue my insurance, isn't that great the girl walks home free, wtf..). If you can sew these people man, I say go for it.. they deserve to pay man. They ruined your car and risked your life to save some time.

Sorry for ranting, but this hit close to home

Damn bro ! .. I am sorry to hear about your ride man .. damn... But I am really really glad you are ok. Every protege member that we have alive and kicking is a great plus for our board and the members. Forget the car, move on. Collect the insurance and move on.

You know, I always liked the stance of your car and just the way the car looks alltogether.
                    Get well soon bro.

GT model was Canada only. It had the DOHC, and a few other goddies. Also had seats from the GTX or GTR, I forget.

                            Thanks again everyone!

Like Ryan said, Canadian GT (Mazda Canada's 25th Anniversary Edition of the Protege) was a hybrid car with roots linking back to Japan. It had the interior from the GTX, the US-spec standard LX BPZE motor as well as all the options. I searched for about a year for this car, they're few and far between. Only 500 produced for Canada only.

                            Side note:
I updated my site (click sig) w/some more damage photos.
