What did you do to your BG(part 8)

    did a compression test today because I've blown yet another radiator....170, 155, 150, 170 on a cold engine....so they're good numbers.

    Any other ideas? I'm going to get another radiator cap, but I don't have another rad to swap in right now :/

    Both radiators have let go by the upper coolant hose, inbetween the pinch seal and the top tank...

        changed the oil and put a new rear wheel bearing in it so I can drive it again.

        it's definitely a bad sign if you can hear the wheel bearing over all the noise the car makes at WOT...

                    Yeah, ****in thing makes me angry. Then again, it does 4th gear burnouts at 1.8 so whatever I guess.

                    Pretty sure there are no videos of the wagon driving anywhere at this point. I'll get to it sooner or later.

                      I cant imagine... When messing with a homemade mbc I spiked 20psi in 2nd on my vf10 and my butthole puckered.
                      I dont know how it went that high, every other time it cuts at 12psi.... stupid gtx ecu.

                        I mean to wash mine after a long time but got really lazy towards the end of the day. I did find a melted fuse for the foglights, its wierd cuz im using everything that came with the kit so not sure why it did that. I just relocated it to allow it to get air flow.

                            GTR ecu is the way to go. No boost cut, ignition cut limiter, starts and idles without giving me any static... I love it.

                            The HY is really borderline too big for a BP, at lower RPM when the turbo is starting to spool you can hear it surging pretty badly.

                            I'll see if I can pick up an iPhone mount this weekend and get some video, I'm too lazy to deal with my gopro and its ****ty sound quality.

                              what VAF are you using? I've tried a few different vaf's and found that the B code works the best. I've got an unopened Bcode and 460's and afr's are very safe. It doesn't cut at all with the B code, or not that I've seen over the couple weeks I've had it on the car. I found the Y code was the worst for boost cut and the U code was better than the Y code but still some cutting.

                                yep U code is tiny with a sloppy loose spring tension for the enrichment door. Flows 30% less than the larger bodied ones lol.
