      haha that's awesome.

Today I cleaned my dirty ass airfilter and oiled it, then installed the rear caliper spring mod...I ended up using longer springs but still does the same job. Definitely notice a HUGE improvement in how my hand brake feels though...and it's also solved my "sometimes I like to stick" parking mechanism in the right caliper

you know if you get it titled, it then becomes your ticket, and any previous tickets that car has, bc it follows the vin.

I'm sure you could rig something up with the rear drum brakes. Ryan (FE3-323) has a sticky in the BG section showing what to do.

edit, here's the pic from the sticky

drum brakes require a totally different approach- so far i've only tackled one design of the drum brakes. i assume the 2nd is a similar scenario tho.

Its not a fun task to do. it honestly takes less time to change to rear disc then to fix a sticking rear drum Ebrake

I took mine totally apart de-seized everything then absolutely packed every single moving part with grease. I did it back in july and haven't had any problems since but it was a ton of work.

bah, you people just don't know how to work with drum brakes my BHA stopped like a damn champ after I did all the brakes (rear drum equipt!) and adjusted the hand brake.

drums are great fpr being cost effective, and semi capable at their job.
but discs are so much more effective, less work to maintain, and less parts to seize.
if you have rear drum, just upgrade. its 6 bolts, and a bleeding. not bad. just do it.
EDIT: rear disc also weighs less. weight reduction a gogo.

I found 2 cars with rear discs at the junkyard yesterday. I should just pull them and buy the rebuild kits for the calipers, it would be cheaper then buying rebuilt ones.

Then I would only need rotors, pads, and adapters to finish my rear miata discs

My codriver and I removed the Haltech E6k and harness, and got at least started on installing the Adaptronic E450C into the rallycar. I plan on taking my sweet ass time wiring the new harness in.
If we manage to git r dun without letting the smoke out, it's gonna be one smart machine. Not only does it autotune fuel on the fly by sniffing the wbo2, it autotunes the ignition listening to the knock sensor.. not just "Oh I hear knock let's put a 10 degree hole in your curve", but "add a little advance till I hear something then back off a touch at that part of the map and keep adjusting elsewhere, but take it easy above where I heard knock"... and full individual injector control, batch on startup/full sequential otherwise, map tuning or volumetric efficiency tuning, closed loop air/fuel/boost/ etc, and who knows whatall else. I don't think I'll try to have it do traction and launch control, but I might go for flat shift, and I think I'll let it handle IC waterspray. Mmmmmmmm
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.
