Even better then. And cheaper. And since I have to buy a intake manifold anyway, might as well get a gtx intake. or would the bp intake and a rpm activated vics solenoid work better?

I'm not looking to be super fast. Just a lil more oomp to get around town and on the highway. My speed demon is my 81 Trans Am T-Top with a Pontiac 400 BB in it. I just need to get the tranny to the shop to get looked at and go through the rear end, ds door hinges and ds floor panels. It drives fine as it, but it'll cost way more if I bust the tranny or the rear end pushing it too hard as is.

edit; the ct26 has a int wg, correct? and it that the mr2 oem turbo? If so, I think I can get my hands on two.

Is it true that the N/A intake can flow better, esp. if opened up and VICS removed?

I picked up another zx2 to use as a parts car. It's a '99 with a grenaded trans. And lots of rust. But it has everything I need, so I'm happy, even though I had to drive a total of 500 miles, and had to go through 3 major cities that all had backed up traffic. lol
My family has lots of bg's!
2003 Ford Escort ZX2: Project car/future daily driver. Built Ford Tough (With Mazda Stuff)
1999 Escort ZX2: Daily driver/beater. Going to be replaced by the '03 next summer.
2000 Escort ZX2 S/R: bought wrecked, going to use as parts car
1992 Protege LX: My old race car. Just a wrecked shell right now. Waiting for scrap to go up so that I can get rid of it.
          1992 Mazda 323: Race car

1994 Escort GT: My grandpa's new race car.

custom-made baller **** > GTR intake > cut VICS intake >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GTX intake, foreals.

            firechicken needs more 12-bolt.

internal gate, yes. stock 3S-GTE. not sure if all of them were twinscroll, I know mine is but it's from a JDM 3S.

flow better than what? I don't think anyone here has the money or desire to put them on a flow bench, but it is better than the GTX manifold. I wouldn't remove the VICS, there's not enough of a gain to do it.

seriously, for 200-225 wheel or whatever, stock **** will work fine.

Aye yi captain. I'd rather do everything the first time to keep cost down. Once it runs right, I'm leaving it the **** alone. I hope.

And I've actually never researched what rear end is in it, as I've never had to touch it. But the 3.08 gears might have to go, but its geared perfect on the highway. But I doubt i'll put a 12 bolt in it. The stock posi unit will suffice with some refreshing.

The only part I dont understand is, I thought the vics was triggered by vacuum and ecu signal? If you are usinga bp26 ecu and the car is forced induction how do you get the vics to trigger with the stock stuff?

With an RPM activated Switch, a vacuum Reservoir and the VICS solenoid. The last two are in place already since at WOT there is no present vacuum in the intake manifold, and the RPM activated switch takes place of the ECU function.

Can even be as simple as a Tach with a shift light.

parked the 323 in the garage sunday night, I haven't even been into the garage again since then......

I looked at the wagon on my way out the driveway and saw that a rear tire was slightly low this morning.
