Finally finished the Kia intake manifold and reassembled it including the bored out TB, cylinder head is very close to being ready, welded the other side of a V-band to my Burns Stainless 2.5"-3" long taper and welded the flexpipe to that. Did some more sanding on the carbon hood and vents, sprayed a few coats of gloss black paint on the Cosworth vents and a few spots of orange peel showed up

Debating on installing the vent visors on the car. Wife thinks they look good, but I am undecided.

Also thinking of painting the Solar wing either gloss black or calypso green, but undecided on that as well.

Anybody have experience with Muteki lug nuts? good? bad?

Went out and bought some cheap speakers so I could have a radio again. Pretty ratty install, but it all works, so I'm happy.

Took it into town. Developed a leak in the lower rad hose while going through the drive through at Tim Horton's. Steam was billowing out the hood vents, which was fairly bad ass looking.

              Lol.

I've been getting pretty good mileage. Those mid 20's were doing the misfire episode. Pretty impressive. Mix driving.

actually worked on it today. swapped K-Sports, Rewinds, and Proper+ shift knob over from the wagon. lowered the front another .75" and the rear something like 1.5". still has a little rake, no idea why. low enough that I like how it looks, but high enough that I can clear the speed bumps on the way to my condo. Rewinds are a little too battleship status for me, so I think I might pick up some 5mm spacers to see if that helps. also gunmetal looks kinda bad on the ZX2.

ride quality is a million times better now. SR/Eibach combo really kinda sucks.

also replaced the rear brakes since they've been making noise for a few weeks. tomorrow I think will be oil change, shifter bushings, Ferdi's crossmember bushings, and possibly steering rack bushings. still have to do motor mounts, I've been avoiding it since it's not crucial yet and I need to get the horrible Nissan ready for LRP.

side graphics are kind of a weird color, I thought about it though. the right shade of blue would look rad, I would definitely paint the wheel all one color because I can't be bothered to mask off the lip.

changed the oil, installed the ES shift stabilizer bushings, and added the delrin crossmember bushings. that was kind of a pain in the ass- the metal sleeve of one of the rear factory bushings decided that it wanted to rust itself to the bolt, so I ended up just removing all of the rubber and pressing the new bushing on. destroyed the ring finger on my right hand for like the third time in two days, so I am done with anything that isn't wiring for a few days.

didn't notice a change with the new bushings, but since they didn't make anything worse they can stay.

They'll really only make a significant difference with solid trans mounts. Basically the rubber allows the whole x-member to twist down in front and up in back slightly under power. but since you have stock mounts, the force applied to the x-member is less than it would be with solid mounts... Regardless, still a good mod, as it may still reduce the opposite flex under high rpm gearchanges as the engine rocks backward as the clutch is depressed, making the gears that much easier to hit. Although I doubt you really stomp on this thing too much.

yeah, wasn't expecting a whole lot since it has stock mounts right now. gonna put in new ones with ES inserts when I have a whole day to **** with it.

also, lol @ high rpm gear changes... this thing sees over 3K maybe once a week at most
