Since I installed a working trans neutral switch I was having intermittent sharp off throttle stalling because I bump the idle to 900rpm instead of the 1k I was forced to prior.Dug up a working dash-pot set up and installed it today. Real hassle installing it on the TB while in the car. On my city driving shake down run didn't stall once.

Also tested the IAC while I was in the area and it's definitely doing "something" because it changes the idle when unplugged. Still wish I could get the idle to be a steady 850-900 instead of a bouncing 700-900 depending on the alignment of the stars.

Changed my oil. The oil I had in the car was some thick stuff (Red Line 20W50) I used to keep the engine from burning too much oil, but it was too thick for winter, and I had to order some thin stuff. Now I'm running Red Line 0W30, and a K&N oil filter.

Also, while the oil was draining, I checked my coolant and found that I needed to add a little more antifreeze because I had too much water, and was only good until 0 degrees. Now I'm good to 40 below.

put the leather MX3 seats in it with the correct rails this time (thanks, XelderX)

tomorrow it goes in to get snow tires mounted on the stock wheels and an alignment. don't have time to do it myself and this shop did a good job with the MX3 when I had it. knowing/occasionally doing work for the owner helps.

Picture request. I would like to see how the seats look in there Matt.

I'm contemplating moving my leathers to the S/R, and having a set of cloth 94+ MX3 seats with Protege LX headrests done up in grey perforated leather to match the 3rd gen Tracer Leather rear in the Hatch...

I loved that setup in my 4wd. The PLX headrests spruced up the MX3 seats quite nice, and would look period correct in the hatch if they matched the rear perfectly... Damn, every time I feel it's getting closer to being done, I come up with more ways to dump paychecks at this thing. The upholstery guy we work with, can bolster those seats up a tad more before wrapping them, so it would be a nice upgrade.

94/95 seats are my favorite, I like the side bolsters way more. I'll take pics tomorrow, I left the car at my parents' and took the Miata for the night.

That's cool. I'm just curious how they match the Dark Charcoal Z interior.

I feel the same way. lol. The mx3 seats are WAYYYYY more comfortable than the zx2 seats. And mine looks really ugly right now, as I only swapped the driver side seat, and it's tan, with the rest of my interior being dark charcoal. But who cares.

Started my wideband install today. I decided to tap the W/R common switched 12V source for the controller and heater through seperately fused lines. I'll be running the simulated narrowband out and controller ground over to the ECU, and the heater ground to the chassis under the hood somewhere. Any helpful suggestions would be welcome.

It worked fine the way I installed it. The new sensor fixed a bunch of other issues too. I'm pretty happy right now.

Yes. I'd been missing my low end since I put the head back on. Now it's back.

On a related topic, how hot should the turbine housing get? It was glowing dimly after I would drive it anywhere, and I don't know if that's normal.

Pin 2C by the ECU? Neat!

Should be around 1300 for the EGT gases usually, glowing read isn't uncommon in high gear full throttle situations or dyno pulls, but just driving it hard around a few corners before you get home should not cause that lol
