Dumped 3 gallons of 100 octane in today to see if I could get it to stop knocking... It appears to have worked. There's no way in hell that I'm going to run $7.39 a gallon race fuel long term, so I plan to do an intercooler this weekend. I'm sure the IAT's are just stupid hot at full boost, and our premium (91 at this altitude) just isn't friendly at those temps with a 1.9 timing curve even with the octane plug pulled thus retarding timing.

I also have a fuel pump and some injectors to throw in, as well as a boost gauge. At that point I should have a decent little daily driver, and once my trailer hitch comes in, It'll double as a toy hauler for the Kart too!

I traded some fab work for a small trailer a few weeks ago. I need to modify it a bit to make it better suited to haul the kart, paint it, then get it titled and registered. I'm also going to lower it, and since it's 4x100, I'll toss on a pair of 7 spoke Escort GT wheels to finish it off. Should be pretty neat.

Yes the 1.9 sucks even without the A/C on. I just want it to last till I get the MZR swapped in the hatchback, then if the engine or tranny fail in it, my plan is to swap in an F2T.

Oh man... attach bumper covers better, scrape the mud and clay off, oilchange, inspect coilovers and brakes, redo front edge skidplate attachments, and still need to figure out a better sparetire mount, better lightbar mount, clean interior, reinstall fire system, unmount n mount 2 set o' tires, find another pump for IC waterspray and think about replacing brand new inner front cvjoint boots with the sort of thing the desert trucks use because150 stage miles....hmm

Lent my uncle the BPT today, told him it was low on gas but the idiot didn't fill it up, died and sat on the side of the road all day at work. Had a buddy run me some fuel, but the cheap bastard brought me 87 octane instead of premium. Brought it home since I was in a rush, only found out after he brought me 87. Holy cow the BPT didn't like having 87 in it, and the gas was low, damn thing fell on its face after 5k RPM. Got super worried before I called my buddy to see if he brought me Premium, cars never behaved that way before.

Freaked me out a bit, don't think I'll be lendign the car out again for a while. Hopefully everthing is resolved with a full tank of 94 tomorrow morning.
