In other news, White 4WD pro 1.8 SOHC and auto yanked out, and putting the BPT and Manual trans in.
Hopefully on the road in a few weeks.

Replaces the bearing/seals in my half-shaft today. Had I not been trying to trouble shoot it for the last few months it would of been painfully obvious what it was by driving the last week. Anything that wasn't turning right felt like a bad cv and flat tire combined.

I'm glad I ordered new seals and a c-clip as all my old ones were decimated. Hardest part was setting up the press with the weird base the half shaft provides. That and separating the now friction welded axle and half shaft.

Got one of the rusted dp to cat nuts off. Once I get the other one I'll be able to fix the last of my exhaust leak as well.

Fired it up & brought it to op temp. then pulled out the GTR ecu (sold it) haltech in spring

I had backseat passengers today and they pulled down the rear arm rest and it broke. One of the bolts had backed itself out completely, I blame the sub-woofer. I went a bit overboard and tightened most of the rear interior bolt of the car as a just in case. The spoiler was super loose and the rear garnish is missing two nuts. At least the deck speakers were firmly attached still!

Burned off the rest of the spilled gear oil too.

attempted to put the springs I got from 92dx on my winter strut setup only to find that they're too short for the strut. awesome.

gave up on that, borrowed a fender roller from a buddy and figured I'd take care of the fenders while I had things apart. fender roller doesn't work on the rear of the ZX2, **** hits the inside of the wheelhouse before it even gets to the fender lip. great. gonna fix that **** with a sledgehammer, I guess.

at least I have an idea of what's clunking in the back of the car, both sides have play in them- one side is lateral, the other is vertical. gonna have to email Jim about replacements.

Found a perfect 03 ZX2 front bumper setup in the yard for $30, and grabbed it for a local ZX2 guy. The car looks so much better with that bumper on it.

I have like the only color where the 03 bumper doesn't look better, haha

I was very surprised to see it still on the car. His car is maroon, and he painted the bumper flat black from its original silver and put it on. Not my thing but even with the mismatch it still looks better than the original one.

He has it lowered with some Miata 15" wheels and it looks decent.

pre-03 bumper is super dorky for sure, I wish there was some sort of lip to put on it to make it look a little better but everything I've seen is awful.

Had a fog light bulb go out after hitting quite the hole in the road. I actually thought I lost the light assembly at first, it was that bad.

Due to my install based on anti-theft I may have to pull the bumper to change the bulb. That was not a good engineering choice.

As much as it pains me to say this, I always thought the Wings West lip looked decent.

I hate the WW kit the least, but the way the sides come up on the front of the bumper looks so dumb it hurts. it doesn't help that virtually every car that has that kit has a mile of wheel gap and stock wheels. I might change my mind if my new wheels ever show up, but right now I can't picture it looking good.
