I tried a mazda gasket on my race car, but it still leaked.

Also, I only used rtv on the corners as well. Still doesn't leak.

      Failed emissions.

And just got back from Vancouver B.C. and the first Protege I saw had the factory rear spoiler. There is no justice...

Did the exhaust make it fail? Didn't think they did any emissions in boise.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

Two counties in Idaho that do emissions, I'm in one. I hope your exhaust didn't make me fail, I'm not taking it off.

Sleeper, to further answer your question in two years I put on 4,000 miles and on the hydrocarbons I passed at 191 with a max of 220 and failed now with 357 PPM. Only failure, everything else was about the same as two years previous. I thought with a hotter, multiple ignition I could get the HC down, hence my other post.

How old is your cat? I would replace it, and I bet it would pass no problems.

Around twenty two years old, it's genuine OEM. It was included with the original purchase of the car. If I have to keep buying cats every 22 years this project is going to start getting expensive...

While I'm waiting for my buddy to go pick up my box of goodies in NH, (as I can't test fit the FE3 into the engine bay until I get the MX3 mount), I figured I would do some work on the body: get rid of effin' door dents from people parking next to my car, and deleting the passenger door lock since someone mangled it with a screwdriver trying to break into it...

I also started on the sound system, cut some holes into the interior moldings opposite the side view mirrors

                        Pics in my worklog...

Ordered some brake caliper slide boots or whatever they are called and started dissasembling my calipers to that I can clean the slide bores. (I don't know if that's what they are really called. lol) The calipers weren't sliding anymore, and the inside pads were completly worn out while the outside pads were like brand new.
