First time reversing, it's usually easy to reach. The chick at the window had the greatest look on her face. Too bad she was a troll.

Maybe I'm just expecting too much out of my shifter coming from a Miata, but these seem to have made little to no difference. The shifter feels the same and it still wobbles side to side when in gear. I dunno what else can be done to tighten the shifter up so I don't have to thrust my right hand out the passenger window to find 5th gear.

People made these things out like they were the end all of stuff you need to have on your car...

        *sigh*
How many bushings did you replace? there's 3 sets of those 10mm ID bushings on the linkage, plus the larger rubber "stabilizer" bushing. Change all, or reap no difference lol

Reversing is good. I also like to pull up, and then get out of the car, walk around to the window, get my stuff, then walk back around.

I changed everything but the stabilizer and what I'm guessing is the "third link". But that last bit doesn't have nuts/bolts holding it together. It's just flat, rivet-like things.

            *edit* Just got my answer.

edit- Just checked, page 19 in my build log I've got a few pictures of the 3rd link
Thanks! I guess that's a project for another day, then.

I ordered my stabilizer bushing from here: http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...sp?prod=4.1106

I also need to order another set of bronze oil bushings for my 3rd link bc that has went out.

Hopefully the MSP shifter will make a difference over the stock shifter.

Haven't used Nitto's DRs, but I've heard from a few people that they're better than the BFGs.

I also have the old tread pattern BFGs, so I dunno. I actually went to normal street tires (Falken Ziex 512s) because wheelspin in 5th gear is a bit less exciting than lane-changing torque steer.

From what I've read and from what I've heard, here is the order of drag radials from best to worst (traction wise): (1 is best)
                        1: hoosier drag radial
2: mickey Thompson (very close second.)
                        3: Nitto NT05R
                        4: Nitto 555R
                        5: Bf goodrich

Now, if it was street driven on the tires, it would be the other way around. But we are talking about traction on the track, right?

Try driving a car with more than like 90whp on the street and get back to me.

Also, the Hoosiers are basically slicks, so of course they'd be rated the best.

I actually prefer the Mickeys to the Hoosiers. My dad 60's in the 1.6x-1.7 range in the Fairlane on 255/60r15 mickeys. We've got mickeys on the torino now and had Hoosiers before. It leaves harder on mickeys. I had old bfg's on my old probe, and they were alright. I gonna do mickeys on my wagon.

I have driven a few cars with more than 500 hp, so I think I'm qualified to answer these questions. Heck, my friend's '82 mustang has an older roush yates nascar engine in it. That thing puts out 750+ hp at the crank, and has a 4 speed manual trans with a spec stage 5 clutch, and a 9" rear end with 4.10 gears and a spool. Stock style suspension. (90/10 drag struts up front, drag springs, subframe connectors, heavy duty rear control arms, and no front sway bar.) 275/60R15 drag radials on draglite wheels. That is one car that is almost impossible to hook up. The only time we ever got it to hook was with either mickey thompson drag radials or with drag slicks. Otherwise, all you did was smoke the tires when you rugged it.

The NT01s are more for autoX so therefore not ideal for the dragstrip lol. I only went with them thinkin i was goin to daily drive them on my RPF1s but that was not the case for me. to be a lil less stressful then the hoosiers or mickeys i might settle for BFG DRs or Nitto DRs, as long as they are DRs they got to be better then my NT01s.

BTW im running Falken 452k's on my 17s on all four corners and wow they do magic lol.

EDIT: i forgot to say that this is going on my 15x7 RPF1s. so tires are limited i think.
