I can get the celica seats for $15 a piece at the local junkyard. I can't get mx3 seats for that price anywhere. Also, I have heard the celica seats are more comfortable, and with me putting on over 80 miles a day, I need something comfortable. My family has lots of bg's!

yep comfort is key man! I'm surprised you're complaining about the power though...it's not THAT bad in the ZX2 my girlfriend owns, and it's autotragic, but it's not bad for power...I could imagine driving it with a manual trans would really breathe life to the Zetec!
If you're having power issues though, look at the HVAC/charcoal canister vac lines at the back of the engine, there's a few large ones, and a smaller one that always rot away to nothing. Same with the PCV boots that seal the PCV by the exhaust manifold (great place for them eh?) and where it clamps to the valve cover. Other than that, look into disconnecting the knock sensor, as the Zetec makes a lot of noise in general I found, even compared to the simple BP lol.-Jack

And the zx2s are just slow in general. I just had my brother clock my zx2 from 0-60 and it did an 8.5 second 0-60. My old 323 could do it in 7.2 seconds. And then the 323 would keep pulling. The zx2 runs out of power after 60 mph. I mean, I knew it would be slower. I just didn't think it would be this slow. I guess all the added weight from air bags, impact bars in the door, a/c, power steering, power sunroof, power windows, power locks, and the stereo system, and all the added electrical stuff from those parts really does make a difference. My 323 didn't have any of that. And I think thats where it got it's acceleration from. Not to mention it had all the power adding stuff like the 4-2-1 pacesetter header, 2.5" exhaust, advanced timing, exhintake swap, cut intake, and the drop in filter. Plus the lightened flywheel helped a bit.My family has lots of bg's!

lol pissing contest
So today I've stripped my Protege LX and 2nd gen MX-3 driver seats down to bare frames. Plans are to compare, then wash the skins, clean the foam, and modify the lower cushion to help my lower back/tail bone on long drives.
Turns out a lot of stuff can be interchanged, which is super awesome...but I'm waaaay to picky to have mismatched front seats lol. Maybe if/when they get rebolsterer I'll slip them an MX-3 lower cushion (this ones in 3 pieces almost lol supports had collapsed on it ) as it will sit on the Protege LX tilt adjust lower cushion frame...which would be the best combo IMO...hell I'm sure the upper MX-3 cushion frame will bolt to the Protege's tilt adjust frame lol. Could make some tilt adjust MX-3 seats!!! haha
If anyone's curious on the lower cushions and seat frames (tilt and non tilt) let me know, I can snap some pics...
Hell I almost got away with using the Protege skin on the MX-3 lower cushion on the tilt adjust frame lol...would just have a few spots where the material would fold/wrinkle over...and that just looks like poo to me lol-Jack
