Backs up my theory they are just the Escort lines.

          That's gaybar.

So the CS lines are the only ones that fit properly then?

tirerack has goodridge lines that are approved by just about every continent worth living in dot, iso9000, tuv etc. 65 bucks, i got them for my mx3 but its the same for the bg protege.

btw, cs lines are only "dot quality" not really dot certified. goodridge lines are made little bit longer than oem lines so that at full suspension droop and full compression the lines will not have to stretch or tear at critical moments. someone on mx-3.com had a busted corksport line, luckily he is alive.

hey are the goodridge lines coated or raw braid? I could never find that detail out when I was looking at SS lines.

Hm good deal, but under protege it only shows DX drum ones.

Will mx3 ones work on an escort GT?

Yeah, I've heard that the Goodridge ones are only for rear drum brakes.

My CS lines have taken a beaten because of how low my car is. I've been keeping an eye on them.

DX was defintely different in the rear as far as lines are concerned. I think that's why I never went with goodridge lines, they didn't have them for rear disc.

I believe the MX-3 lines are different then the Protege lines. They will work though , just mount a little different.
