i dont know if some one posted this already. i didnt feel like going through all of the other pages. i just replaced a front engine mount in a 2003 mpv and it is very similar to ours. the part where the bolt goes through on the engine braket is too wide, it just needs to be cut to be able to fit (not to hard). the advantage that i see with it is that the rubber is thicker and might be able to hold up to a smaller engine better than the big v6. hope this helps. i dont know how to upload pics i will try later.

                      rx7 alternator

The rx7 alternator does not fit, the bottom bolt that attaches the swivel point to the block is backwards on the RX7, (I have an rx7 and a Protege for reference) On the protege the bolt goes in from behind and the threaded portion its on the front(pulley) side of the ALT, on the rx7 the bolt goes fromt he front(pulley side) to the threaded portion in the rear.

So if there is a revision to be made you could say this:

The alternators are almost the same besides that, the only other difference is one of the plugs is in a different spot but it will still be ok.

What you could do, is take them both apart and swap the guts, that would more than likely work fine.

But for someone looking to do a quick upgrade it will not work.

I have pictures of a brand new 89 RV7 alternator if you need them for reference just PM me

If anyone's into the look of no passenger mirror, the escort pony's mirror delete plate fits proteges. Maybe other cars as well, but proteges for sure.
