It seems that the size of 2.25" springs vary in size. With an Eibach it is a 57.15mm spring and Swift calls it a 60mm spring which is 2.36". I guess I can just make it 57mm so that you can use whatever spring brand you want.

          To all K-Sport owners

          Koni race inserts.

          8610-1436 for the front
          8610-1437 for the rear

Or the 8611-1436 and 8611-1437 if you really want to spend some money.

I've won a bunch of National trophies on 8610s. That being said the car was much better on the 8611s. The coilover housings will need a hole in the bottom for the 8611s.

I actually picked a single 8610-1437 today on ebay that is new and never installed, just missing the box/instructions etc..... for $80

Yes the housings will have a 25mm hole in the bottom to allow plenty of access in case you want to run the 8611's

Im on a budget (as i am broke) which ever one is better. Ive heard mixed reviews on ksports. But if i can make them better on a retrofit or a DIY kit. I will go for cheaper one. I need struts for my 323 since they are blown. In other words, i will spend money it if i need it. Give everyone prices on both retrofits and DIY kits, even if they are estimates. I would go for the best combination, depending on the quality and price... I'm sure i can speak for many on the forum. You should also ppst this on the FB page since there are alot of people on that page, that aren't on the forum.

                    To all K-Sport owners

The retrofit sleeves are for the people that already own K-sports and they will be $50 or less each. The DIY kit will be for people that don't own coilovers yet. This kit will be $450 or less but you still have to buy the Koni inserts to complete it and possibly springs if you choose to use higher end stuff. Koni inserts can go for around $250 each or if you score a good deal like I did today $80 for one. If you choose to run higher end springs like Swift or Eibach then expect to pay around $300 for all 4 or less again if you score a good deal. If you want to run the springs available from the manufacturer making the kits then that will fall in the $450 or less price window as well.

Also I am not a FB guy, so I will leave that part up to someone else to spread the word on there.

So, I'm looking at the DIY kit. I'm interested. Springs are entirely seperate, yes?

Props for no FB. Started to think I was the only one.

Will we be able to buy the kit in pieces? I could get away with just buying the housings for the inserts and the spindle mounts. I've got everything else sitting in the garage.

Springs are included in the price, or for a reduced price you can source your own springs. I am trying to make this a "you pick your own spring rate" deal even if you want springs included.

Well my wife is also part of the no FB club as well. This forum is about as social media as I get, but I confess that I do have a Twitter account but I have never posted one thing, and only use it for browsing world news.

Yes that can be done no problem, and I would imagine you will at least need the lower collars since I doubt you have anything that will thread onto the sleeve.

Also the final quote is taking a little longer due to them requesting some measurements I forgot to include and me asking about a couple more items for quotes. One of them is for brakes, but I will make a separate thread for that and give more details when I get an answer back on that.

Ok, im not big on FB and thats because im 24 years young. But then again alot of people who are really into BGs aren't in the forums ( which im sure you are aware of, im in the FB group but i dont always check it as much as the forums) i only mentioned it if you wanted to make it a group buy. I like your idea, since its only to improve a good product. You are including many options as it is, especially if you are buying them in pieces, depending ones setup or in one piece or pieces, not too many would go thru this trouble.

Oh nice. I would probably need to source my own springs, since I want a lift. I'd like to start with 250/200 at +2" and see from there. Might need to be a little stiffer, but whatever. It's a starting point.
