i love my secound gen even if i would trade for a 5 door s2.3 mazda 3 in a hart beet, but with 169.5 miles its doing good it went through a phaze where everything broke (including tranny) but now i think i got it over that hump for now and keeping it running is a lot cheaper then getting a new car and haveing a high insurence. its "bone stock" dx 1.5 power nothing but i painted the rusted stillies a metalic black and that looks nice. cold air intake schedualed for 3 pay checks after tuition.
i found the solution to the idol, dont ever stop and keep it over 50 mph in 3rd geer.the dirty irish

97 ES 5 speed with Sunroof. 98,000 miles. Runs great, no major repairs after I bought it last October. According to Carfax, it was originally purchased in Guam then moved to the US. I like the fact that it is different, and I like the Unique Mazda Emblem that it has, it's different than the one everyone is sporting now. I love my car.

Please go back to the subject at hand. ty.I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

I really don't know what to say - everyone has its own preference, that's all. I like how 2nd gen looks like and I also like 1st gen but some type of bumpers on a BG are just silly. But that's just me. Of course European back end of a Pro is slightly different than USA - the license plate frame is wider and lower and the lock is located higher than on USA models. And we don't have such trim levels than in USA.
Okay one funny thing I noticed is that when I go to emissions tests and registration every year people there are always asking me if this car is like 4 to 5 years old since mine is in moderate good cosmetic shape. And I keep telling these guys that the car is from 1995, that's 13 years ago. Of course they believe it but since these cars are rarities here they are not convinced right away until they see you papers.
At least I know what I have got and I wanted this car very bad. On the other hand most people don't know what they are driving even though it can be a Mercedes or something. Only thing that matters to them is that they'll sit in that car every day/morning and drive it to work/mall and that's all. They are not questioning themselves what was that tic caused ten feet away - was it a rock, was it a damper, a tensioner... ?Garage: Mazda Protege 1995, Z5 engine, MTX, P/S, no A/C, no ABS.
