well, I did the timing belt on the BP but never the WP, so hopefully it shouldnt be too hard. But if the axles are any indication of how hard it will be then it won't be fun. to get the axles out took a torch and 20 lb sledge. bent my friends press.

I know its hard to do but try getting 2 bars on opposite sides of the inner cv
tap one down tight then the other.Ive had luck doing that as it keeps the axle more straight coming out.
Once one side is out try putting a flat chisel/punch through the diff, past the pin to knock the other axle out.

Damn dude,What about pounding a large steel chisel in between the cv and the case.

Are you doing outer boots or are the outer joints wrecked?

I'm replacing the entire axle on both sides. and I haven't tried a chisel yet, but a pickle fork would do the same thing wouldn't it?

LOL ya I guess a fork should work as good ,they dont seem to go in very deep though.I chisel might be "sharper" and go deeper before contacting .
Just a thought,I have a large chisel like 2 feet long that i used before to dislodge the inner cv's.

Hey, I replaced the passenger axle on my car. Wouldn't come out of the tranny. Tried sledge hammer, pry bar, and a slide hammer with a chain wrapped around the axle, nothing worked. Then I went to the drivers side, rotated that wheel a little bit, went back to the passengers side and it popped right out. Worked for me so maybe it can work for you.

I've tried rotating it a hundred times.. this axle just wont come out.
