nope that kia pic is an automatic throttle cable.
that is how automatic motors throttle cables are run with one on the top and one on the bottom.
Read the FSM or chilton, It should be in there.

Bruce, my automatic has only one cable (It's a 97 Z5). Charles is a witness.

OCD-SPEED, so did you fix the problem? What was it?

The 2nd line connected to the throttle wheel is the kickdown cable. I've messed with it b4 to adjust my slowmatic's shifting.

Actually, it's not called a kick-down cable, just the throttle cable. I believe the distinction is that these units are fully electronic

Intruder does your car have ABS?

Intruder. my 98 Z5 automatic didnt have 2 cables either...the 2 cable is just old school. Anyway to answer your questions. The tps wasnt the problem. It was the problem with the oxygen sensors and the ECU running from open to closed loop. The car only ran like crap during closed loop, which is when the car idles or cruises and relies on oxygen sensors. open loop was never a problem (full throttle and all.) It idled funny because it was sitting in closed loop reading a faulty o2 sensor. Because of that the ecu was trying its hardest to keep correct fuel but just couldnt. I thought it was the tps because when i unplugged it, the car never went lean and so on, but come to realize undoing the tps just makes the car rely on the Mass air sensor instead of o2s... and other BS...bottom line is faulty o2 sensor
