Not all turbo's come water cooled.. Sure I can upgrade it to a CHRA that is, just not worried about it and don't feel it's an important feature for my setup. I never shut off my motor right away anyways. I've always let it idle out for a bit after a drive that wasn't even hard at all.

agreed as long as you turbo time the car after hard pulls then water cooled = no thanks

i idle mine for at least 30 seconds before shutdown and have never had an issue cooking the oil.

ive also never used anything other than synthetic which makes a huge difference on what kind of temps the oil can safely handle without cooking.

i would imagine with conventional oil that turbo time would be extended from 30-60 seconds to a couple of mins after hard pulls as conventional cannot handle high temps well regardless of brand from what i understand.

Or you can just get a Holset turbo and run a high zinc oil and never have to worry about lol

I really don't have to worry about heat soak I always have decent sized holes in my hoods!! on another note, come the time of ITB's.. I likely won't be running a BOV anymore. I haven't made a solid decision on that yet though.

For the ITBs are you gonna run the adapter flange for the 4age ITBs? That seems to be what everyone else is doin.

Nope. I'm looking into a decently long runner ITB combo, due to the fact that I'm staying with a low compression setup. Low end is going to suffer somewhat with ITB's no matter the length of the runners..

Good to see someone doing it correctly then. Too many setups fail because of improper tuning and 2" runners
