where's a good place to get struts?
I've read a fair bit about the tokico struts.. they seem like the best ones for the type of driving I do... but i haven't looked at the MSP struts (which are made by who?)
i kinda doubt i'll have the money to get new struts along with rims/tires/eibach kit... but ya know.. it's a nice dream

scratch that Q... tokico makes the backs and KYB makes the fronts.
      (looking on theMAN's FAQ)

you can get the KYB's for about $50 each, or tokico finally came out with struts for the 3rd gen. i forgot the prices, but they are a bit more than the KYB's

That's a good price for the KYBs.
as i'll want to buy 2 KYB and 2 Tokico for spring (gonna be SOOO poor).

where did you see the KYBs/Tokicos for sale?

There's a little confusion about the struts. \

The "Tokico Blues" I have are the ones that are on the Mazdaspeed Protege. The MP3 also had the Tokico Blues.

They are not to be confused with the adjustable "Mazdaspeed" struts on the FAQ...those were green in color and yes in fact were produced by KYB and Tokico, but they are no longer produced and are hard to get in the US.

Tokico finally realeased the non-MSP "Blues" and "Illlumna HP" struts. Protege5online.com is the only vendor I know of that sells them.

And last but not least are the KYB struts.

there's a few places that have the KYB's for $50, but www.planetperformance.com is the only one i remember. and i'm not sure about the tokico's, since they are so new.

from the abovementioned link.. they indicate that the struts are for 2000 pros..
does it make a difference from 2000 to 2001?

How much would a set of tokico blue struts cost? are the ones for the sedan the same as the ones for the P5?

                        is 375 for 4 struts?

as well.. at www.planetperformance.com they have struts for the 2000 and the 2002 protege... but nothing for the 2001..
is the 2001 lx2.0 equivalent to the 2002 as far as suspension is concerned??

Yeah $375 is for the four struts. The struts are Tokico.

Sorry, i'm blind.. where's that on the site?
and is that for the the Illumina or the HP?

That's not a bad price for them.. so long as shipping is decent.

I don't think Mitch has them listed on the site yet because they are pretty new. I can't remember which strut is which but the $375 is for the non-adjustable. That price also already includes shipping.
