my friend is like
they are all metal, who cares who makes them
what is your feedback on that .
i think a company like corksport probably tested them out
so, i think it would be a better fit and performance?

Well, metal is metal but depending on the brand and construction of the bar, it could offer no bracing whatsever due to its design.

I don't have any experience with the ebay strut bars but I am very satisfied with my MP3 strut bar.

Posting pics would be greatly appreciated.

update on the ebay bar

IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!

here is what happened:

I recieved the bar.
looked good. I was happy
however, the damn UPS bented the braket
but that was not a problem, it could be fixed easily

i go and try to install by myself
but the damn screws were very stuck and it is freezing cold out there, i don't mind shelling out a couple of bucks for a decent work

i go to the shop and they install it.
however, there is a little problem
1. the braket don't fit properly. however, we make it work
2. the way the ebay strut bar made, the bracket fits in a via a thread to the bar. the two parts are held by TWO, TWO threads
so, it is held in barely.. that is ok too......

i go and pay
$30

i go and close the hood and guess what

IT DOESN'T CLOSE. THE FREAKING THING DOESN'T CLOSE
SCREW ALL THE EBAY ****, I AM SAYNG NOW

so, i say f... it

uninstall that crap
and give the strut bar for the shop
so they don't charge me another half hour
which is the price of the half hour.

so in conclusion
i don't have a strut bar, and lost $~50

waaa hooo!!!!!
****ing 2003(that was last year btw)
i hate that year
(yeah, happy new year)
it has been better so far!!!!


so, for all the people that read and do research

save your money and get the MP3/MSP strut bar!
it will fit, and will look good too!!!

Well you get what you pay for. That is why I am going to get the MP3 bar.

you will actually get the MSP bar, if you order it through mazdastuff.com. The only difference is it is silver instead of yellow. All MP3 parts are now replaced with MSP parts. In my opinion the silver looks a lot better than the yellow bar.

That's good that it comes in silver because that saves me painting time. I was just planning on painting it silver anyways.

Anything you can find at your auto parts store should work well. The bar shouldn't get very hot so temperature shouldn't be a problem.

I'm thinking of painting mine silver...yellow is tacky on a tan car.

well i dunno i bought a bar from ebay, and it works fine, and fits perfect, no clearance probs with my hood, and no install probs, you prolly bought the wrong bar...

next thing i know, the stuff is all wrong
