it will be nice but you see there is just one problem! the traction bars are to eliminate wheel hop at hard starts . for a bg that is pushing over 300hp dropping
the clutch is not a option with a stock tranny .so traction bars will be useless to you unless you had a racing gearbox. and you john are almost at that hp level.
i will show you a old video of a 323 getting a pretty nice launch.

its the black and red 323 at the end of the video also no wheel hop. i have some drag radial i can lend you if you want. there mounted on a pair of 14'' steel rims. you are welcome to try them out.

Jon has DRs on his car already.

Pat used to leave off of the flatshift in his EGT, which amounts to a clutch dump when the timing comes back in. This was with a 6-puck unsprung clutch, and ~300whp.

mine are indeed too small, i cant find anything about a 14" hoosier drag radial they all are 15"-17"... i'd be interested to see what exactly you have though.

the main thing that kills these trannies is shock loads... the easiest way to create a shock load is wheel hop. you can launch pretty damn hard while slipping the clutch out of the hole... but if it starts hopping you'll have problems.

i made roughly 50 passes and drove 10k miles on my stock tranny (started out with 100k on it) before it started having issues. it still drove okay even, but it was on its way out. its all about how you drive it... traction bars will help preserve the tranny is all i'm saying i guess.

but i mean if you think they are pointless... dont buy them? lol

i dont speak from my own experience about track bars. i am speaking from the experience of others that are more experienced than i am working with bg's. u will see when i get back home we can experament with my car. i believe we will have the fastest bp's in the area! well as for the tires they are at my home in my room . i can have someone bring them out for you when ever you need them. just tell me what week you want to pick them up.

Count me in as long as they are not more than $500 per
Block is almost done, cylinders are overboard for Weisco pistons, pro gram billet main caps have been line bored, and my chinese EDT rods have been machined to right specs. Everything has been balanced.

How about modding the control arms to accept a steel bushing/bearing?

I'm sure it's not something you would want on your car at all times but neither is the traction bar. A few minutes per side and you can swap them in at the track with your slicks. It'll do the same thing and still allow you to turn off with out putting it into reverse.

I'm in for this if i can get it for a v6 swap BG. Hopefully there will be two types of traction bars. One for people who have the BPT and then those who have the V6...
