I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

I dont think it is. Im glad its being properly tested, im not going to spend 600 dollars on something I dont even know works properly.

Man you are patient. I guess I just expected a stronger sense of urgency. Oh well, hopefully the product is worth the wait.

Nah, everybody likes to say they'd rather have it properly tested and it doesnt matter if the guy tests it once in a while over a 2 year period.

I'm totally cool with putting a deposit down 5 months ago and having nothing inhand to show for it and a tester that waited to finally test it. Its totally cool that he waited and then finally broke an axle after having it a few months instead of testing right away resolving any issues and having everything in working order again to continue testing!

Care to expound on that? And be specific, don't throw around veiled ambiguous statements like some of the posters in this thread.

As for me, there is no further testing possible at the current stage. I will remove the LSD from the gearbox and send it back to MFactory for inspection and re-dimensioning, along with a g-series driver side axle stub.

The axle in/out play that I documented is LOUD, if I come off the throttle or am on <15% throttle you can hear the chatter rather well. I already mentioned the fluid loss issue because of it.

These 2 reasons (which essentially is just one minor fitment issue) is what makes further testing by me impractical. I don't know if I'm willing to go down the track with an axle that's not fully seated or if it is fully seated it's not fully retained. I have to wait just as much as everyone else to reap the benefits of MFactory's willingness to even make the prototype.

If MFactory feels like further testing is necessary, I'm willing to ship it (at my cost) to anyone willing to pick up the torch from here. Now is the time for all you big mouthed removed-from-reality talkers to step up and essentially do those things that you have been whining takes too long. I've put down enough cash for this testing period to buy 2 other MF LSDs.

My final remarks about the testing -

*the LSD is strong enough to handle the torque.
*machining and assembly are high quality
*minor redesign is needed to allow for proper driver side axle fitting
*as Jon mentioned, the fasteners for the ring gear need to have a smaller head height (<7 mm).
*fitment in the gearbox itself is excellent

ZX2guy19, you need to calm down. If you're in that much of a pinch, just imagine if you had an unfinished LSD in your car right now and were seeing huge puddles of tranny fluid and hearing all that chatter. I think you'd be on the forums cursing Mfactory and his mother for not properly testing it out.

yellow2000S/R, you should just be glad that anyone is willing to develop new parts for cars as old as ours, and especially that there are people willing to invest the time and money to test the new parts at the expense of their time and possibly causing unknown damage to their own projects.

I think the smarter thing would have been to do the testing anonymously, like the second 'as yet un-named' party that more intelligently avoided all these poorly worded unpleasantries.

Thank you Dan for testing the LSD, some people are too near sighted to see what value you have been to the R&D of the LSD. For those people who continue to indulge in the repeated badgering of Dan and his time line or finances, why don't you offer him $100 to offset his expenses for testing a part for you. Dan did not ask for any such reimbursements and has fronted several hundred dollars out of pocket. As far as i'm concerned anyone on the list buying this diff owes Dan a huge thank you....

I'm going to take no notice the doltishness remarks lacking sufficient interpretation of the written words made by Dan.

I love the thesaurus and dictionary... makes it appear that I know big words.

Just run a lincon locker up front.

But really maybe you should test a 26 spline lsd out. I'd hate to see it blow apart and ruin your case.
