I do have a blue-maroon '93 GS seat...but the other one is tan. My brother said he knew a guy that could get ahold of NOS(that's New Old Stock) Mazda seat covers for them so I was going to get a set of blue-maroons to redo those seats and stick them in my Protege...but that fell through so now I have 2 odd-ball seats.

But prakashkamath needs to tell us how we can get seat covers like he has.

Right now I have a problem with the machine that I have. It doesn't make long stitches like I want to. I have an antique machine in my garage, I looks more heavy duty than the one that I'm using. Tomorrow I will get the old one to work hopefully

they were expensive. $550 for the set. it was worth it to keep the car looking oem and not cobbled together. ah, the good ol' days back when i had money for projects...

I went to use my old machine, but it doesn't work. So I'm going to have to save up money so I can buy the proper sewing machine. Yeah my price is not going to be that high. You might be looking at $300-$400 range or less, but how things are going I'm going to go by those prices.

                      mx-3_4evr,

Can you show us a pic of anything uphostery that you have done so that we can see the quality of your work?

I already have all the leather to do maybe 6 to 10 seats depending on what colors guys want and using vinyl for the backs like stock. I have a choice black and charcoal for the bolster areas and black, grey, or red perforated for the inserts. My price was going to be in the range of what prakashkamath paid, but mine would just be the covers with the buyer installing them.

I was hoping to learn how to do this work this winter but waaay too much else going on and the machine I wanted to get was $500 used. If I had my workshop built for this winter, this was going to be my extra money job this winter. Like I said, too many other things happened, no $ for the shop, and I took a very PT job teaching an adult ed class this winter. OH well.

Let us see some work. Maybe I'll just send you my leather and you can stitch me up a set.
                      Bill.

Is there any chance you could do a black vinyl with a red suede insert? If not black is cool.

Tomorrow I will be looking at a few sewing machines. They are industrial heavy duty ones

For everyone wondering if I can do custom fabrics or colors in the future, well I might have good news. As long as you get the fabric shipped to me I can do it. I will be able to do it after the GB though.

i dont see the point in putting in suede if its in the center of vynil.
its like putting makeup on an ugly chick.
"shes still an ugly chick, so just **** her in some sort of shameful manner, and dont worry about how great she tries to look"

so i voted for all vynil.
but my true preference is neoprene.
                                Next!
