BTW, I test fitted an axle into the diff. This sucker was snugger than any OEM diff I've ever replaced on any car, it is VERY solid. The only way I could see there being any abnormal play is if the bearings are the wrong size or the case is worn out. I think it's safe to say they've DEFINITELY fixed the axle shaft play that Dan experienced.

Napa Max Drive. It's an all new shaft, not Re-Man. Nothing against re-mans, but I figure for the small price difference and the higher than average use the car sees, why not.

But the shaft I used for fitment was an intermediate shaft.

you want to test fit the driver's side axle for play.

i wouldnt try until you have the diff installed in a trans.... trying to get that circlip loose after would be hell otherwise

Exactly. The fit the same anyway. And there is no up and down play, even if you pull it out a bit to simulate the in and out play allowed by the circlip.

wrong.... a punch & one good whack through the diff (it has a hole in the middle VS an open diff) pops the axel right out. 100 times easier then OEM. this'll make life for future removal of the drivers axel so much nicer.

I've been having quite the time with DHL. They phoned last friday and told me the diff was there, but they couldn't send it out that friday, because it was after hours. They said they would deliver it monday and for me to have the COD charge ready to give to the driver.
Monday comes and it never shows up. They don't phone me, there is no notice in my mailbox, nothing. Tuesday is the same. Nothing. So I head down to the DHL depot on Wednesday to pick it up. After driving around for like 45 mins in rush-hour downtown traffic, I find the place. I go in and tell them the situation and give them the tracking number. They take a look on the computer and seem like they don't know what's going on. They go to the warehouse and after 15 minutes they come back and say that the thing went out today for a delivery. Convienient how as soon as I go to them, they send it out. They tell me that when I get home there should be a notice that I missed them, and the package will get sent out tomorrow first thing in the morning and that they would call me that night confirming that my package did come back to them.
So it is now Thursday noonish and there has been no phone calls, no delivery notices. It's annoying.
I think the worst part about the whole ordeal so far is that when I went there to find out what was going on, the dude who I was explaining things to was eating a sub and texting on his flashy I-phone while I talked to him.
